Abstract: A nozzle of a spray gun includes an air cap, a board, a cover and a nozzle. The air cap has a central path. The central path has a first inner periphery and a second inner periphery which is larger than the first inner periphery. Two guide faces each are a tapered face which is connected between the first and second inner peripheries of the central path of the air cap. The two guide faces are located symmetrically relative to the central path. Two air holes are respectively defined between the two guide faces and the nozzle. The air flow from the guide faces interests the air flow form the air holes to increase the range of the air flow to guide the paint in the paint path to be ejected from the nozzle.

Abstract: The subject invention relates to a power sprayer that offers flexibility of movement because it can be battery operated and is designed to eliminate the need for cleaning its spray nozzle after being used. Paint colors can be changed quickly by simply changing the media cartridges that are adapted for simple attachment to the sprayer. The media cartridges used in conjunction with the sprayers of this invention can also eliminate the inconvenience associated with refilling conventional power sprayers with a desired media. The present invention more specifically discloses a sprayer media cartridge system comprising: (a) a media container, (b) a self-cleaning nozzle, (c) a media shut-off means, (d) a primary media atomizing aperture in a configuration relative to the self-cleaning nozzle, (e) a movable media containment member within the media container, (f) a gas transfer interface, and (g) a power unit engagement means.

Abstract: An air spray gun operated by blowing air past a nozzle, the air drawing the spray liquid from the nozzle and imparting momentum to it. The air cap includes formations to bias air flow towards the air horns having patterning air directed to them. The central opening extends towards the air horns, either in the form of a square opening with the corners of the square closest to the horns, or in the form of a compound curved shaped providing pronounced curvature of the corners at the axes toward the horns. This significantly improves paint spray patterning and discourages paint deposition on the air horns.

Abstract: A spray gun includes a nozzle connected to the open end of the spray gun and an air cap having a central passage through which the nozzle extends. The air cap includes symmetrical angular passages and multiple air passages. A back board is located at the back face of the air cap and includes an air outlet portion which includes a central hole and multiple air passages which are independent from the central hole. The nozzle extends through the central hole. Multiple resilient members are located on the back face of the air cap and push the back board to contact the air cap constantly. The air cap includes protrusion on the back face and the back board includes notches in its front face so that when rotating the air cap relative to the back board, the user is acknowledged the angle that the air cap is rotated.
