Abstract: A gelling nanofluid and methods for manufacture are provided. The composition and methods for manufacture produce nanofluid gels so that the settlement of nanoparticles in a base fluid is improved due to the inhibition of particle movement in the gel. The nanofluid gel is produced by using a gelling agent which is either coated on the nanoparticles prior to dispersion in the base fluid or directly introduced in the base fluid.

Abstract: Provided is a lubricant for a gas insulated switchgear, with which properties of a base oil such as heat resistance, evaporation loss, fluidity under a low temperature, and chemical stability (oxidation resistance and HF resistance) are balanced at a level higher than the conventional level, and long service life and high reliability of the gas insulated switchgear are achieved. A lubricant for a gas insulated switchgear according to the present invention, contains: a base oil containing a polyalphaolefin having a kinematic viscosity at 40° C. of 50 mm2/s or more; and a thickener containing bisamides.

Abstract: [Technical Problem]An object is to provide a sliding system which can drastically reduce the friction coefficient on a sliding portion by means of a novel combination of a chromium nitride film and a lubricant oil.[Solution to Problem]The sliding system according to the present invention includes: a pair of sliding members having sliding surfaces that can relatively move while facing each other; and a lubricant oil that can be interposed between the sliding surfaces facing each other. At least one of the sliding surfaces is formed as a coating surface of a chromium nitride film, and the lubricant oil contains an oil-soluble molybdenum compound that has a chemical structure of a trinuclear of Mo. When the chromium nitride film as a whole is 100 at % (referred simply to as “%”), the chromium nitride film contains 40-65% of Cr and 35-55% of N, and the chromium nitride film has a relative surface area of 15-60% wherein the relative surface area is a surface area ratio of (111) plane to (200) plane obtained when analyzed using X-ray diffraction. The lubricant oil preferably contains 5-800 ppm of the oil-soluble molybdenum compound in a content mass of Mo to the lubricant oil as a whole.

Abstract: The lubricating oil composition for a timepiece according to the present invention contains a lubricant component (A) containing a base oil (A1), at least one antiwear agent (B) selected from a neutral phosphite ester (B-2), and an antioxidant (C), and is characterized in that the total acid number of the composition is not more than 0.8 mgKOH/g, the antiwear agent (B) is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 15 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the lubricant component (A), and the antioxidant (C) is contained in an amount of 0.01 to 3 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the lubricant component (A).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a two-dimensional hybrid composite that is capable of solving the problems with the two-dimensional plate type materials, that is, step difference, defects, stretching, etc., that occur as the second-dimensional plate type materials overlap with one another. The present invention provides a method for preparing a two-dimensional hybrid composite that includes: (a) preparing a first plate type material in the solid or liquid state; (b) mixing a second plate type material with the first plate type material, the second plate type material being thinner and more flexible than the first plate type material; (c) mixing a solid or liquid binder with the first and second plate type materials to make the first and second plate type materials partly contact with or apart from each other; and (d) solidifying a composite formed by the steps (a), (b) and (c).
