Abstract:
The present invention is directed to an accumulator device and method of making the same characterized in that the bladder support member is connected to the body of the pressure vessel by a resistance weld between relatively thin gauge portions of the vessel and the bladder support, the device being so constructed and arranged as to be susceptible of operation under high pressures notwithstanding the thin pressure vessel section as a result of the reinforcing effects of a cap member secured over the open end of the accumulator.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to an accumulator device of the type which includes a pressure vessel having an oil port at one end, a bladder dividing the vessel into two chambers, a removable cap member at the other end retaining the bladder in position, the cap member including a gas charging valve assembly. The apparatus is characterized by a safety feature whereby the cap member may not be removed without first having removed the gas charging valve assembly, whereby it is assured that the gas pressure within the gas chamber will have previously been vented.
Abstract:
A pulse dampener device in which the effective cross section of the flow path through the dampener assembly may readily be varied thereby enabling the device to be adjusted or tuned to deal most effectively with any of a variety of pulse variables encountered in a particular installation.
Abstract:
A valve for controlling an opening for the passage of fluid into and out of a pressure accumulator has a valve member, which, by the elastically expanding membrane of the pressure accumulator, can be brought against the force of a spring to a closed position. An orifice plate located in the valve housing creates a pressure difference to opposite sides of the plate, and this pressure difference is directed to opposite sides of a piston operably connected to the valve member to thereby bias the latter to the open position during outflow of fluid from the pressure accumulator, to thus prevent a premature movement of the valve member to the closed position.
Abstract:
A fire extinguishing system having a flow controller which permits fluid discharge from a plurality of discharge heads at a predetermined high flow rate, followed by discharge at a predetermined relatively low flow rate.
Abstract:
A pressure vessel for receiving at least one fluid medium has a first shell (1) and a second shell (3) at least partially encompassing the first shell (1). The first shell (1) has, at least at one of its ends, a collar portion (5) having a securing element (15) that forms an opening (13) for supplying and discharging the medium. A support element (19) in the form of a split ring surrounds the opening (13), is provided inside the container and has a contact surface (39) adapted to the curved shape of the first shell (1) inner side attached to the collar portion (5). The contact surface is able to be pressed onto the first shell inner side attached to the collar portion (5). The contact surface is able to be pressed onto the first shell (1) using a pressing device (43, 45).
Abstract:
The improvement in the manufacturing of fluid ports commonly used hydraulic bladder type accumulators by the manufacturing of the fluid port body and the poppet valve guide as separate pieces in the manufacturing process.
Abstract:
A pressure accumulator has a housing having at least one pressure medium opening, a diaphragm chamber arranged inside the housing and having a side wall which is at least partially deformable, and a pressure medium chamber arranged outside of the diaphragm chamber, the pressure medium chamber at least partially being limited by a partially permeable material which allows an exit of gas from the pressure medium chamber but prevents an exit of a pressure medium from the pressure medium chamber.
