Abstract: A display device according to some exemplary embodiment includes: a display area; a non-display area surrounding the display area and including a sealing area; a first substrate including a center portion including a portion in the display area and an external portion including a portion in the sealing area; a second substrate including a center portion including a portion in the display area and an external portion including a portion in the sealing area; and a sealing portion between the first substrate and the second substrate and in the sealing area, wherein a thickness of the center portion of the first substrate is different from a thickness of the external portion of the first substrate, and a thickness of the center portion of the second substrate is different from a thickness of the external portion of the second substrate.

Abstract: A display device is provided. The display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid-crystal layer, a first electrode, and an opposite electrode. The liquid-crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first electrode is disposed on the first substrate. The opposite electrode is disposed on the side of the second substrate that faces the first substrate. The first electrode includes a first main portion and a plurality of first extending portions. The first extending portions are connected to the first main portion, at least one of the first extending portions includes a first side, a second side, and a curved structure. The curved structure connects the first side to the second side, and the curved structure has a first curvature radius greater than zero.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device having an outer shape of a display region formed other than a rectangle. A driver for supplying a video signal is disposed outside the display region. A selector with selector TFT is disposed between the display region and the driver. A video signal line is disposed between the driver and the selector, and a drain line is disposed between the selector and the display region. A scanning circuit for supplying a scanning signal to the scanning line is disposed outside the display region. The selector is disposed between the scanning line and the display region, and covered with ITO as the common electrode. The common bus wiring is disposed outside the selector.

Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a method of manufacturing a three-dimensional fluid cell having three-dimensional formability with a high degree of freedom. A method of manufacturing a three-dimensional fluid cell according to the invention is a method of manufacturing a three-dimensional fluid cell using a laminate which has at least two plastic substrates and a fluid layer and in which at least one plastic substrate is a heat-shrinkable film satisfying a heat shrinkage rate of 5% to 75%, including, in order: 1) an arrangement step of arranging one plastic substrate, the fluid layer, and the other plastic substrate in this lamination order; 2) a two-dimensional fluid cell producing step of producing a two-dimensional fluid cell by sealing the fluid layer; and 3) a three-dimensional processing step of three-dimensionally processing the two-dimensional fluid cell by heating.
