Abstract:
A plasma panel, a plasma display apparatus, and a method of forming a complex functional layer for the plasma panel are provided, the plasma panel including: a front glass substrate and a back glass substrate which form a plurality of discharge cells; and a complex functional layer which is formed on an external surface of the front glass substrate. The complex functional layer includes a base substance, an optical functional substance, and a polymer substance to improve a crashworthy property of the front glass substrate.
Abstract:
In a plasma display apparatus of the preset invention, an external light shielding sheet configured to shield externally incident light to the greatest extent possible is disposed at the front, thus effectively implementing a black image and improving the bright and dark room contrast. Furthermore, pattern units of the external light shielding sheet are formed using a conductivity material. Accordingly, there is an advantage in that EMI emitted from a panel can be prevented from being radiated to the outside.
Abstract:
A plasma display panel (PDP) which can reduce the cost and time of manufacturing a plasma display device, and which can improve heat transfer efficiency of a plasma display device, comprises: a transparent front substrate; a rear substrate disposed parallel to the front substrate; an electromagnetic wave shielding layer fixed on the front substrate; a plurality of discharge cells defined by barrier ribs disposed between the front substrate and the rear substrate; a plurality of address electrodes extending over the discharge cells and disposed in a given direction; a rear dielectric layer covering the address electrodes; a plurality of fluorescent layers disposed in the discharge cells; a plurality of sustaining electrode pairs extending in a direction which crosses the given direction of the address electrodes; a front dielectric layer covering the sustaining electrode pairs; and a discharge gas filling the discharge cells.

A plasma display panel (PDP) is structured so as to reduce the cost and time of manufacturing a plasma display device, and to improve heat transfer efficiency of the plasma display device. The PDP comprises: a transparent front substrate; a rear substrate disposed parallel to the front substrate; an electromagnetic wave shielding layer fixed on the front substrate; a plurality of discharge cells defined by barrier ribs disposed between the front substrate and the rear substrate; a plurality of address electrodes extending over the discharge cells and disposed in a given direction; a rear dielectric layer covering the address electrodes; a plurality of fluorescent layers disposed in the discharge cells; a plurality of sustaining electrode pairs extending in a direction which crosses the given direction of the address electrodes; a front dielectric layer covering the sustaining electrode pairs; and a discharge gas filling the discharge cells.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an upper substrate structure for a plasma display panel including a dielectric layer reinforcing color properties and a fabricating method thereof. The upper substrate structure comprises a sustain electrode formed on an upper glass substrate, a bus electrode formed on the sustain electrode, and an upper substrate dielectric layer formed over a lower part of the surface created by two electrodes and the glass substrate. There is also included a colorant having color properties of red, blue, and green colors, and a protection layer formed on the dielectric layer. The dielectric layer may include one or more colorants so that important properties of PDP such as selective brightness of desired color, color temperature, and color purity improvement can be controlled.
