Abstract:
A surface treatment device for applying a surface treatment to an inner surface of a hollow engine shaft includes a supply of a surface treatment agent and an elongated rod extending from a proximal end to a distal end. The rod has an inner passage extending from the proximal end to the distal end. The proximal end has an inlet fluidly coupled to the supply. The inner passage terminates at an outlet at the distal end. The rod is insertable inside the shaft. An input device is operable for controlling a delivery of a predetermined quantity of the surface treatment agent from the supply. An applicator disposed at the distal end of the rod adjacent the outlet is engageable with the inner surface of the shaft for applying, upon activation of the input device, the predetermined quantity of the surface treatment agent to the inner surface of the shaft.

Abstract:
A device for applying abradable material to a surface of an annular casing of a turbine engine, wherein the casing extends along a longitudinal axis, comprises a support equipped with first guiding means capable of guiding the support in relation to the casing in a radial direction in relation to the axis of the casing. The support is equipped with second guiding means capable of guiding the support in relation to the casing in an axial direction. The device further includes an application roller pivotally mounted in relation to the support in the axial direction and adjustment means allowing adjustment of the position of the roller in relation to the first guiding means, in the radial direction.
Abstract:
The present invention consists in a nozzle for the efficient injection of viscous fluids into holes, cracks or groves through a mechanism preventing the draining outwardly of the volume to fill, which is obtained by incorporating to the injector's tip a screen with a central boring adjusted to the injector tip's surface, preferably of a semi-spherical form and of ferrous material, where said screen shows some freedom of movement levels with respect to the injector, thanks to screen's central boring being surrounded of magnets and having a semi-spherical profile that supplements the injector's tip.
Abstract:
Sealant injection systems for injecting sealant into a cavity, the sealant injection systems including a sealant dispensing tip having a proximal end portion, a body portion, and a distal end portion that define a continuous channel to an aperture in the distal end portion for dispensing sealant material into a cavity, where the aperture is surrounded by a compressible material. The distal end portion may have a linear ridge defined on an end face, the aperture being asymmetrically provided relative to the ridge.
Abstract:
A wheel lubricating device for lubricating at least a portion of a wheel, including: a lubrication applicator, a rotary drive mechanism at least indirectly coupled to said lubrication applicator, a lubrication supply conduit in fluid communication with said lubrication applicator, a transfer pump for transferring a lubricating medium through said lubrication supply conduit to said lubrication applicator.
Abstract:
A device is provided for placing sharply demarcated patches on roofing products such as shingles or sheeting without the need for a double layer of asphalt. After the base sheet has been covered with a layer of coating asphalt, granules to form the patch are dropped on the base sheet through a hole in a belt which moves parallel to and just above the base sheet. The moving hole in the belt ensures that the patches will have sharp leading and trailing edges. The belt can have several holes for different size patches, and/or different blends of granules can be applied through the same or different holes. After the patches have been applied, the remainder of the sheet is covered with granules. Alternatively, the granules which drop on the spaces on the belt between the belt openings can be applied to the base sheet to form sharp edged patches, while the granules dropping through the holes in the belt can be removed and collected for re-use.
Abstract:
A spray element for use with a mold sprayer of the type used to spray a mold prior to or between cycles of a manufacturing operation such as die-casting, drop forging or other operations involving the working of metals. The spray element includes a valve body having an internal elastic pretension. The valve body may be positioned in either an open or closed position in relation to a valve seat. A control pressure is applied, through a separate feed line, to the valve body to open and close the valve by forcing the valve body against or away from the valve seat. The spray element also includes a feed line supplying working air which cooperates with an atomizer attached to a feed line supplying a working medium to the atomizer to atomize the working medium when the valve body is actuated.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a chimney lining device which includes a shell member which telescopically embraces the exterior of a bell member. A shell member of desired dimensions may be used in conjunction with a standard sized bell member for the lining of various sized chimneys. Both the bell member and the selected shell member are formed of one-piece construction enhancing the durability and performance of the chimney lining device. During use, the invention is generally lowered to the bottom of a chimney whereon a masonry mortar compound is deposited within the chimney covering the chimney lining device. The chimney lining device is then activated causing the vibration of the bell member and the shell member. The chimney lining device is then slowly raised within the chimney, which causes a uniform and compacted thickness of masonry mortar compound to be deposited to the interior walls of the chimney.
