Abstract: An optical measurement apparatus includes a color analyzing device and an abutting member. The color analyzing device includes a light collecting portion, a body and a connecting portion. The light collecting portion is configured to face to a device under test (DUT) and collect a light emitted from the DUT. The body is configured to measure and analyze the light. The connecting portion connects between the body and the light collecting portion along an axis. The abutting member is tubular and extends along the axis. The abutting member has a first rim and a second rim opposite to the first rim along the axis. The connecting portion penetrates through the first rim and connects with an inner wall of the abutting member. The second rim defines a first abutting surface inclined by a measurement angle relative to the axis and configured to abut against the DUT.

Abstract: An Information Handling System (IHS) display includes an integrated colorimeter that is stored within a front-facing bezel that borders one side of the display screen. The front-facing bezel includes hinged door that conceals a compartment housing a tray. The tray includes a colorimeter and is deployed from the front-facing bezel via the hinged door. With the tray deployed, the colorimeter is raised from the tray and positioned for measuring light emitted by the screen. The deployment of the tray from the front-facing bezel is along an axis perpendicular to the screen and the raising of the colorimeter from the deployed tray is along an axis parallel to the screen. The raised colorimeter may be positioned closer to the screen though movement of the tray along the axis perpendicular to the screen, thus reducing ambient light that reaches a colorimeter sensor of the colorimeter.

Abstract: Disclosed are display panel test device and method. The device comprises: a color analyser including a host and a measuring probe, wherein the measuring probe can obtain optical information of a positional point of a light emitting surface of display panel, the positional point being a point to which the measuring probe is aligned on the light emitting surface, and the host can determine optical characteristics of the positional point according to the optical information; and a position determination component, configured to determine a positional identifier of the positional point on the light emitting surface, the positional identifier being capable of indicating a relative position of the positional point on the light emitting surface. Since the position determination component determines the position of the to-be-tested point, it is not necessary to visually place the measuring probe over the to-be-tested point, thereby improving the determination accuracy of the to-be-tested point.

Abstract: An apparatus, methods, and systems for multi-color projection or display for video or lighting applications. One aspect of the present invention comprises an algorithm for utilizing at least four primary light sources to represent a projected pixel color. The algorithm and associated system can be applied to both a natively monochromatic light source or traditional light sources filtered for their colored components. The algorithm can be used for either color sequential or parallel modes of operation. The algorithm takes input pixel data represented in a universal color coordinate system, performs a color transform, and disperses the results among parallel display devices or sequentially to a single device such that each pixel is presented by the combination of four or more primaries.
