Abstract: A system for determining a travel path for an autonomous vehicle (“AV”) to travel to a target while avoiding objects (i.e., obstacles) without the use of an imaging system is provided. An object sense and avoid (“OSA”) system detects objects in an object field that is adjacent to the AV and dynamically generates, as the AV travels, a travel path to the target to avoid the objects. The OSA system repeatedly uses sensors to collect sensor data of any objects in the object field. An object detection system then detects the objects and determines their locations based on triangulating ranges to an object as indicated by different sensors. The path planner system then plans a next travel direction for the AV to avoid the detected objects while seeking to minimize the distance traveled. The OSA system then instructs the AV to travel in the travel direction.

Abstract: An unmanned aerial system and a method are disclosed. An unmanned aerial system may include: a telematics service server; an unmanned aerial apparatus; and a vehicle. In particular, the telematics service server obtains a destination of the unmanned aerial apparatus, a movement path of the vehicle, a current location of the unmanned aerial apparatus, and a current location of the vehicle, and also searches for the vehicle with which the unmanned aerial apparatus is able to move in collaboration. The telematics service server controls a collaborative movement between the unmanned aerial apparatus and the vehicle, and the unmanned aerial apparatus transmits and receives information for the collaborative movement from the telematics service server. In addition, the vehicle carries the unmanned aerial apparatus according to a request from the telematics service server, and moves together with the unmanned aerial apparatus.

Abstract: A method of calibrating a structure is provided. The method includes securing a first end of a tether to a device at a fixed location on an external surface of the structure, attaching an unmanned aerial vehicle to the second end of the tether, moving the unmanned aerial vehicle in a trajectory around the structure while tethered to the fixed device, scanning the external surface of the structure over a course of the trajectory using the unmanned aerial vehicle to obtain a mapping of the external surface of the structure, determining a position of the unmanned aerial vehicle with respect to the fixed device; and calibrating the structure based on i) the determined position of the unmanned aerial vehicle with respect to the fixed device, and ii) the mapping of external surface of the structure.

The image acquisition device includes: an electromagnetic field measurement unit acquiring an electromagnetic field exposure amount to measure a distance to a subject; an image acquisition unit for photographing with automatic adjustment using information obtained from the electromagnetic field measurement unit; a control unit obtaining image information via an image acquisition camera of the image acquisition unit; and a ground control system, wherein the electromagnetic field exposure amount acquired by the electromagnetic field measurement unit is used to adjust a focus of the image acquisition unit, thereby acquiring a precision image.
