    Abstract: A cell culture microcarrier bead is proposed. The microcarrier bead comprises a bead body having its surface flecked with plasmonic nanoparticles. In a second aspect, the invention relates to a cell culture reactor, containing a cell culture medium and the proposed microcarrier beads. A third aspect of the invention concerns a method for observing living cells on such microcarrier beads. Yet a further aspect of the invention relates to a method for packing nanoparticles on a carrier body.

    Abstract: Monomer(s) based on a 3,4-dihydro-2H-1,3-benzoxazine derivative. Alternatively, a composition comprising a mixture of the monomer(s) and of a second benzoxazine derivative selected from the group consisting of monofunctional amines bridged with diphenolic compounds, monophenolic compounds bridged with diamines and diamines bridged by diphenolic compounds, or a mixture thereof. These compounds are suited for the preparation of benzoxazine derivative heterogeneous polymers, for example having the shape of coatings or films, exhibiting enhanced anti-inflammatory and/or anti-oxidant properties. A material with a coated substrate with the heterogeneous polymer may be a part of implantable materials, such as implantable metallic apparatus such as a catheter, a metallic implant, or a metallic prosthesis, biologically compatible. These implantable materials may be safely used because they are preventing any inflammatory and/or oxidative reaction(s) from a host into which the coated substrate is grafted or implanted.

    Abstract: A method for orchestrating the distributed completion of a task in a communication network, wherein a plurality of nodes in said network contributed to the completion of said task by completing a set of sub-tasks thereof. The completion of each sub-task requires data initially held by an orchestration node. The method allows for progressively transmitting the release of data only to those nodes which rely on it to complete the assigned sub-task. The privacy and security of the data is ensured, which is of particular importance in applications involving personal data.

    Abstract: An ISFET or ISFET-based sensor includes a source terminal, a drain terminal and a transistor channel between the source terminal and the drain terminal, where the ISFET or ISFET-based sensor also includes a fin extending between the source terminal and the drain terminal, the fin including the transistor channel, the fin having opposite sides with charge-sensitive surface for forming an interface with an analyte solution and an insulating barrier between the charge-sensitive surface and the transistor channel located centrally between the opposite sides of the fin, such that the transistor channel has a height-to-width ratio of at least 10.
