Abstract:
An ABS which evaluates slip values prescribes pressure values for the wheel brakes. In order to improve the driving stability, these pressure values are varied by a brake controller using the deviation of the yawing speed from a set value and the front-axle steering angle as input variables. The brake controller determines its output values (variation values) with the aid of the fuzzy logic. Additionally, rear-axle steering is integrated into the system, the system partially also using fuzzy logic. Subsequently, an adaptation which is based on fuzzy logic and uses the brake controller and the rear-axle steering controller in a weighted fashion is proposed.
Abstract:
A method for electroconductively connecting two electronic circuits to one another. A contact is coated with a liquefied, electrically conductive, flux-free solder, and the coated contact is arranged over the other contact. Then, in the molten state, the electrically conductive solder is electroconductively connected to the other contact and hardened. In addition, a liquefied, hardenable, non-conducting bonding means is introduced between the two electronic circuits.
Abstract:
A machine producing cross-wound bobbins or cheeses has a drum winding a yarn travelling in a given yarn travel direction on a cheese over a given traverse winding width with reversal points. A traverse winding apparatus includes a traction mechanism transmission having an endless traction mechanism. The traction mechanism is guided over rollers defining first and second traction mechanism segments movable in opposite directions at the same speed. The traction mechanism includes yarn entrainers spaced apart by at least substantially twice the given traverse winding width. First, second and at least one further yarn guide are in alternation with the traction mechanism segments as seen in the given yarn travel direction for supporting the yarn during traverse winding and for transferring the yarn between the yarn entrainers at the reversal points. Each of the yarn guides has a concave yarn guide contour with decreasing depth as seen in the given yarn travel direction to be contacted by the travelling yarn.

Abstract:
The hoppers of several dust precipitators are connected to a common readily accessible monitoring station by discrete conduits each of which has a first open end at a preselected level in the respective hopper, a second open end at the monitoring station and an intermediate portion extending above the corresponding preselected level. Suction which normally prevails in the hoppers tends to maintain closed pivotable flaps for the second open ends of the conduits. If the dust in a hopper accumulates to or rises above the respective preselected level, the corresponding flap is opened by a counterweight and such movement of the flap entails the generation of a signal which is used to evacuate dust from the corresponding hopper and/or to actuate an alarm for the convenience and attention of the persons in charge.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a frameless picture support in which a picture is placed between a cover plate and a backing plate fixed together by spring clips having hooks going around the edges of the support and back parts behind the support. The back parts are kept in position behind the backing plate by headed pins with the bending of arch-like parts of the clips. The clips have steps across their widths for locking them in place against the pins.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for rapidly letting-down the pressure in continuous high pressure polymerization systems for the polymerization of ethylene. In this process, the let-down hot reaction mixture is passed into an expansion vessel in such a way that the jet of let-down hot reaction mixture issuing from the let-down line is led into the partially water-filled expansion vessel at an angle of from 0.degree. to 45.degree. to the water surface, so that the jet does not enter below the surface but must touch or strike it. The method described makes it possible to let the mixture down partially and thus to slow down the decomposition in the case of explosive decomposition reactions occurring in the polymerization system.
Abstract:
A system with a transmitter for transmitting digital data via an interface to a receiver. The interface has at least one data line and a clock line. A clock generator supplies a clock signal to the clock line. The receiver uses the clock signal received from the clock line for deriving timing information for processing received digital data. The clock signal may have an amplitude that is lower than the power supply voltage VDD, typically less than half of the power supply voltage, and less stringent requirements can be applied to the waveform of the clock signal than traditionally applied to data and clock signals. The clock signals are hereby less power consuming and cause significantly less electromagnetic interference.
Abstract:
Described is an ABS for vehicles in which all wheels are driven. Of particular concern is the forming of a final reference speed for the slip control. From the speeds of wheels with different speeds, an auxiliary reference speed, and a reference speed and a final reference speed for the slip control is formed . In the event of instability, however, the increase of the auxiliary reference speed determines the reference speed.
Abstract:
Antilock control system generates an instability criterion from at least one of slip and deceleration of the wheels and produces control signals for reducing brake pressure at the wheels when the criterion exceeds an instability threshold. The system delays the criterion reaching the threshold, for example by increasing the threshold, when vehicle deceleration increases and when downhill travel is determined. The instability criterion S may be calculated according to S=aV+bL+c.intg.Ldt, where V is the wheel deceleration, L is the wheel slip, and a, b, and c are constants.
