Abstract:
A development system which includes a dual auger assembly, mounted in a housing, for mixing developer materials in which a trickle port is between the dual auger assembly at an end of the housing which enables combining the cleaner waste toner and trickle waste in a single without the need of an additional auger.
Abstract:
A device for forming two twisted loops on the ends of a wire electrode to be used in scavengeless development. The wire is supported at both ends in a wire twisting apparatus and a specified tension is applied to the free ends of the wire. A crank is turned so that the both ends of the wire rotate at the same time. This causes the free ends of the wire to twist upon the suspended wire portion, two loops being formed at the ends of the wire. The twisted sections are stable and strong enough to maintain the loops when the wire is mounted in the development system.
Abstract:
A replaceable unit monitor assembly includes a substrate member, multiple thermal insulating stand-off members, and a monitor device mounted on the substrate member. The stand-off members mount the substrate member to an end hub of a fuser roll of a printing machine while limiting conductive heat transfer to the monitor device.
Abstract:
This is a photoconductor and dispenser assembly and system. The photoconductor is in a tubular form so as to accept a tubular formed dispenser within its hollow portion. The dispenser will coat within this hollow portion a uniform coating of an acoustical dampening material. This material will dull any sound produced by the photoconductive marking system. The assembly is the tube having in its hollow portion this dispenser. The dispenser fits tightly but movably within the hollow portion.
Abstract:
A method feeds a continuous core of a print cartridge cleaning blade along a path. The path passes, in the following order, firstly through a coating bath or spray coating station, secondly by a curing station, thirdly through a cutter, and fourthly to a finisher station. Thus, the method herein coats portions of the continuous core that are in the coating bath/spray station with an outer covering. For portions of the continuous core that are adjacent the curing station, the method cures the outer covering of the continuous core; for portions of the continuous core that are in the cutter, the method cuts the continuous core into predetermined lengths; and for portions of the predetermined lengths of the continuous core that are adjacent the finishing station, the method finishes the outer covering of the predetermined lengths of the continuous core to produce a finished print cartridge cleaning blade.
Abstract:
An extrudable magnet composition includes composite particles including thermoplastic resin and magnetic material, and a surface additive selected from silicon dioxide particles and ferrite particles, wherein the surface additive is applied to a surface of the composite particles.
Abstract:
A donor member useful in ionographic or electrophotographic apparatuses and preferably useful in hybrid scavengeless development units, having a substrate and an oxidized transport coating including charge transport molecules, polymer binder, and an oxidized oligo arylamine salt comprising a cation of an oligo arylamine molecule and a counter anion.
Abstract:
An apparatus for filtering contaminants from marking particles is provided. The apparatus includes a conduit and a mover for moving the marking particles within the conduit. The apparatus also includes a screen positioned adjacent the conduit so that substantially all the marking particles discharged from the conduit pass through the screen.
Abstract:
An apparatus for tensioning wires in a wire module assembly is disclosed. Prior to placing the wire module in an operable position, the wires are attached to the wire module and the tension is adjusted to obtain the proper operating tension. This is accomplished by having a fixed and an adjustable wire anchor support. The adjustable anchor support is positioned between two fixed cross members and an adjusting mechanism passes through a cross member, the adjustable anchor support and the other cross member. When the adjusting mechanism is turned, the adjustable anchor support translates between the two cross members.
Abstract:
A donor roll for transporting marking particles to an electrostatic latent image recorded on a surface is provided. The donor roll includes a rotatably mounted body and an electrode member mounted on the body. The donor roll further includes a magnetically permeable core external to the body. The core rotates with the body. The donor roll further includes an electrically conductive material positioned on the core. The material is electrically connected to the electrode member.
