A relay includes contacts residing within a glass tube. A coil surrounding the tube and a switch are connected in parallel between two terminals of the relay. A current source supplies a current to the coil and switch. When the switch is open, substantially all of the current passes through the coil and the coil produces a sufficient amount of magnetic flux to close the relay's contacts. When the switch closes, it shunts a sufficient amount of the current away from the coil to reduce the magnetic flux it produces below the level needed to keep the contacts closed. The current source is sized so that the coil requires relatively few turns, thereby allowing the relay to be relatively thin. The coil is formed by a conductor embedded in an insulating substrate surrounding the tube.

A shielded connector for a shielded electrical cable which reduces radio frequency and other electro-magnetic interference. The shielded connector comprises a pair of opposed, interconnected shield members enclosing insulated conductors extending from the cable and a unitary outer housing enclosing the shield members. The shield members are electrically connected and bonded at opposite ends to a metallic connector housing and a shield layer extending from the cable. Adhesive is interposed between the outer housing and the shield members and cable. The shield members have neck portions that are connected to the shield layer in the cable.

An electrical connector device for electrical conductors comprising a conducting ferrule receiving the leads from two insulated conductors and a heat shrinkable plastic tube surrounding the ferrule and extending past the ends of the ferrule, the tube having a normally dry, heat activated adhesive coated on the interior thereof, which tube is heated and thereby shrunk and hermetically bonded to the exterior of the ferrule and the insulation on the conductors. In certain situations an additional insulating layer is interposed between the tube and the ferrule. An electrical conductor, usable in the electrical connector device, comprises an insulated electrical wire, a ferrule receiving a lead from the wire, and a heat shrinkable plastic tube having normally dry, heat activated adhesive coated on the interior thereof, which tube is heated and thereby shrunk and hermetically bonded to both the ferrule and the wire insulation.

The present invention relates generally to the field of fishing drag scales. More specifically, the present invention relates to a fishing reel drag set device that is comprised of a body, an upper and lower housing, two eyelets and a power supply. The device may be adjustable or non-adjustable (i.e., static), wherein the adjustable version allots the user multiple tension settings for the line and the static version has only one tension setting. Other visual and audible elements such as colored LEDs, a speaker relay and visual and audio indicators are provided to help identify if the drag in the fishing line is too heavy or too light. Accordingly, the device can be applied to any fishing rod and fishing line to aid a fisherman in using a desired drag setting when attempting to catch a fish.
