Abstract: Examples are described for dynamically applying a digital watermark to a file, such as a dataset of genomic sequencing data. In one example, a method of dynamically applying a watermark to at least a portion of a file includes generating, using a secret key, a first random seed, generating, using the first random seed, an ordered pseudorandom set of integers, generating, using entity information and timing information, a second random seed, selecting, using the second random seed, a subset of the ordered pseudorandom set of integers, and modifying data at data locations in the file corresponding to at least a portion of the identifiers included in the subset to generate a watermarked file. The method may further include performing a check to determine whether the watermark is present in a file using a sequence of watermark elements that are generated based on the secret key.

Abstract: A dual-band implantable/wearable transceiver includes a first on-chip antenna and a second on-chip antenna that are mutually coupled. A receiver includes a dual receiver chain having a first receiver chain and a second receiver chain. The first receiver chain is in electrical communication with the first on-chip antenna and configured to operate within a first frequency band. Similarly, the second receiver chain is in electrical communication with the second on-chip antenna and configured to operate within a second frequency band. A dual-band dual-port LC oscillator-based transmitter is in electrical communication with the first on-chip antenna and the second on-chip antenna and configured transmit data within the first frequency band and/or the second frequency band. A power management unit is configured to supply power to the receiver and the dual-band dual-port LC oscillator-based transmitter.

Abstract: The molecular mechanism of the function of TBC1D15 in NOTCH activation and stabilization is associated with maintenance and expansion of tumor-initiating stem-like cells (TICs). We herein demonstrate that TBC1D15 preferentially binds an NUMB isoform and NOTCH1-PEST domain and stabilizes NOTCH1 protein. This interaction enhances phosphorylation of NUMB, taking it away from NUMB-mediated ubiquitin degradation of NOTCH. Thus, TBC1D15 acts as a switch to augment NOTCH signaling in TICs. We also have identified inhibitors of TBC1D15 such as latanoprost acid and a salt thereof, which blocks the NOTCH-TBC1D15 interaction and selectively kills CD133-positive TICs, resulting in a reduction in the tumor size in a patient-derived, hepatocellular carcinoma xenograft model.

Abstract: Provided herein are methods for detecting an antigen or for detecting expression of a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR). The methods include obtaining a sample from a subject, contacting the sample with a fusion protein comprising a reporter fused to a single chain antibody specific to the antigen or fused to an extracellular domain of an antigen targeted by the CAR or fused to Protein L and assaying the activity of the reporter, wherein presence of reporter activity or increase in reporter activity relative to a reference value is indicative of presence of the antigen or presence of the expression of the chimeric antigen receptor in the sample.

Abstract: A system, computer readable medium, apparatus and/or method for non-invasive, non-surgical, digital biopsy. The system, computer readable medium, apparatus and/or method accurately predicts benign kidney lesions from cancers in a patient. A processor may receive patient clinical factors, texture analysis of computer-tomographic imaging, and an artificial intelligence learning model. By implementing artificial intelligence, the processor may then predict or determine a probability of kidney cancer in the patient using the patient clinical factors, the texture analysis of computer-tomographic imaging, and the artificial intelligence learning model. Notably, the prediction is performed without needing invasive biopsy surgery and subsequent pathology analysis to arrive at a diagnosis but relies on radiomics metrics.
