Abstract:
In embodiments of the present disclosure improved capabilities are described for a dual-use wireless network where the network may be used concurrently by the general public and by a managing agency (e.g., government or other agencies), but limited as deemed necessary in times of access restriction as determined by the managing agency, where network access may be denied to users/entities whose priority value is lower than the minimum allowed priority value set by the managing agency, or is not one of a set of allowed high priority access values or classes set by the managing agency.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is related to a large-scale broadband LTE wireless network capable of providing a very high wireless data capacity, wherein one aspect of the system utilizes a base station optimization server, wherein the base station optimization server comprises a publish-subscribe broker communications facility to which a mobile transceiver device is connected via a corresponding redirected bearer. A usage data reporting facility of the base station optimization server and the publish-subscribe broker communications facility are adapted to collect and report billing usage data for the mobile transceiver device for all data sent by the mobile transceiver device on paths that do not include a packet gateway (PGW) element, where the billing usage data is collected in the LTE network via paths that include the redirected bearer at the cellular LTE base transceiver station.
Abstract:
In embodiments of the present disclosure, improved capabilities are described for conserving back haul utilization in a wireless network, where base station optimization servers are provided within the wireless network to provide streaming data services required for applications streaming data to a plurality of mobile cellular devices, such as where a base station optimization server is connected to first and second mobile transceiver devices via redirected bearers such that the base station optimization server may route an application data packet stream, on behalf of an application that provides streaming application data, from the base station optimization server to each of first and the second mobile, where the application data packet stream is delivered to each of the plurality of mobile cellular devices at different times, and wherein use of the back haul network is minimized.

In embodiments of the present disclosure, improved capabilities are described for conserving back haul utilization in a wireless network, where optimization servers utilizing publish-subscribe broker services are provided within the wireless network to provide streaming data services required for applications streaming data to a plurality of mobile cellular devices, where the streaming data is not necessarily delivered to each of the plurality of mobile cellular devices at the same time.
Abstract:
In embodiments of the present disclosure improved capabilities are described for increasing the bandwidth in a wireless communication network, where centralized optimization servers with publish-subscribe broker services are utilized in conjunction with a queuing service application that provides packet service continuity when a mobile device moves between different access control nodes of the wireless communication network, and wherein the queuing service application is connected to a publish/subscribe broker network to receive service packets matching the service packets directed to the mobile device, wherein the service application makes the matching service packets available to the mobile device to replace service packets that the mobile device did not receive during a time in which the mobile device is in transition between being connected to any of the access control nodes.
Abstract:
Methods and systems having improved capabilities are described for providing communications to a plurality of cellular mobile devices through generating m different sets of fixed position patterns of N RF beams across four contiguous one-millisecond LTE sub-frames from an agile beam forming antenna system of a cellular LTE base transceiver station. The cellular LTE base transceiver station is in RF frequency division duplexing (FDD) communication with the plurality of cellular mobile devices within a cell coverage area of the cellular LTE base transceiver station. Each RF beam illuminates a non-contiguous sub-area of the cell coverage area. A number m sets of RF beam patterns illuminate the area of the cell coverage area, wherein 1≦m≦4.
Abstract:
In embodiments of the present disclosure improved capabilities are described for increasing the bandwidth in a network, where centralized optimization servers are utilized to reduce the time-latency for applications being run from a user device. Further, by associating additional local optimization servers, application functionality may be optionally transferred from the centralized optimization server to the local optimization server in instances where a number of user devices are requesting the same data via their access through the same access node, and in other instances, to the effect that associated communication network bandwidth utilization is reduced or eliminated.
