Abstract: Implantable medical devices including a housing that contains operational circuitry for the implantable medical device and a dispensed hydrogen getter. The hydrogen getter may include a getter carrier material and one or more getter materials carried as suspensions in the getter carrier material, with the getter materials taking the form of organic compounds, such as fatty acids, or powdered metal oxides, or combinations thereof. The hydrogen getter may instead be comprised of two fatty acids having different melt temperatures. The hydrogen getter may be dispensed onto an encapsulant layer or other component of the implantable medical device, or may be blended into an encapsulant layer.

Abstract: Systems and methods to couple electrical contacts of a header of a medical device to respective feedthrough pins of a connector block of a medical device housing using a preformed wire are disclosed. The preformed wire can include a proximate portion comprising a number of turns shaped to engage a feedthrough pin. The number of turns of the preformed wire, once engaged with the feedthrough pin, can physically separate a major portion of the preformed wire from the connector block and the housing. The major portion of the preformed wire can be shaped to route a distal portion of the preformed wire to a first electrical contact of the header when the proximate portion of the preformed wire engages the feedthrough pin.

Abstract: An implantable medical device can include a housing including electronic devices within the housing, and a header attached to the housing. The header can include a first silicone portion configured to surround a first portion of internal electronics of the header, and a second silicone portion configured to surround a second portion of internal electronics of the header. The header can further include a splitline where the first silicone portion abuts the second silicone portion, wherein an outer edge of the first silicone portion and an outer edge of the second silicone portion are rounded at the splitline to prevent a sharp edge that may cause damage during assembly or insertion.

Abstract: An implantable pulse generator includes a core assembly, a seal plug, and an outer layer overmolded over the core assembly adjacent the seal plug. The core assembly defines a core hole extending through the core assembly from a core interior to a core outer surface. The core hole has a hole outer portion and a hole inner portion. A first diameter of the hole outer portion is less than a second diameter of the hole inner portion. The seal plug is positioned in the core hole and has a plug outer portion aligned with the hole outer portion and a plug inner portion aligned with the hole inner portion. A third diameter of the plug outer portion is less than a fourth diameter of the plug inner portion. The outer layer leaves a top of the seal plug exposed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for implantable medical devices and headers are described. In an example, an implantable medical device includes a device container including an electronic module within the device container. A header core includes an electronic connection feature electrically coupled to the electronic module within the device container, the electronic connection feature configured to engage with a lead. In some examples, the header core includes a tag holder configured to locate an identification tag in a selected position with respect to the header core. In some examples, the header core includes an antenna attachment feature configured to locate an antenna in a selected position with respect to the header core. A header shell is disposed around the header core and attached to the device container.
