Abstract:
When log data is stored in a shared area of RAM provided in a multifunction device, a personal computer generates and transmits a log page having links to image data. These links are links to files (image data) registered in a log table. The log table includes a list of content identified by the log data stored in the RAM of the multifunction device. This log data can identify a file only when the multifunction device determines that the image data may be recorded. Accordingly, the personal computer can generate log pages having links to files for which image data can be recorded, that is, files that can be made public via a communication network.
Abstract:
An image processing method controls a computer and an image processing device connected to the computer to perform an image processing. The computer includes a plurality of drivers that controls the image processing device. The image processing method includes (a) controlling the image processing device by using one of the plurality of drivers, (b) storing, in a storing unit, error information indicating which one of the plurality of drivers is used when an error is occurred in the controlling step (a), (c) accessing to the error information stored in the storing step (b), (d) selecting a subject driver from the plurality of drivers based on the error information accessed in the accessing step (c), and (e) controlling the image processing device via the subject driver selected in the selecting step (d).
Abstract:
An information processing device comprises: an image data receiving unit which receives image data of each page of a double-sided document generated by a document scanning device by double-side scanning of the document; a recognizable direction adjustment information receiving unit which receives recognizable direction adjustment information outputted by the document scanning device as information to be used for adjusting a recognizable direction of the image data of a back page of the document to a standard recognizable direction which is defined as the recognizable direction of the image data of a front page of the document; and a vertical inversion unit which vertically inverts the image data of the back page as needed based on the recognizable direction adjustment information so that the recognizable direction of the image data of the back page will be in the standard recognizable direction.

A peripheral device has a communication section for communicating with an operational equipment which has a detecting unit for automatically detecting a peripheral device to communicate with and an installing unit for installing a driver to control a peripheral device detected by the detecting unit, a first setting section for setting a blocking state in which detection by the detecting unit before the installing unit is activated is blocked, a determining section for determining whether the installing unit has been activated or not, and a second setting section for canceling the blocking state set by the first setting section after it is determined by the determining section that the installing unit has been activated and setting a permitting state in which detection by the detecting unit is permitted.
