Abstract: Measurement exchange networks and protocols to exchange measurements of a parameter amongst devices (e.g., IoT devices), select the best measurement(s), accuracy/precision-wise, and determine a process variable for a control system based on the selected best measurement(s). A device may select a peer-provided best measurement to output as the process variable in place of a local measurement, and/or compute the process variable from multiple best measurements (e.g., local and/or peer-provided measurements). Metadata may be used to select a measurement(s) and/or to increase reliability/trust of exchanged data. In this way, each device of an exchange group/network may obtain the highest measurement accuracy of all available collocated sensors with little or no additional processing or cloud connectivity. A best measurement(s) may be selected based on measurement quality specifications extracted from metadata, measurement qualities computed from measurements of respective sensors, locations/proximities of the sensors, a policy(ies), and/or device IDs (e.g., extracted from metadata).

Abstract: Apparatuses, storage media and methods associated with cognitive robot systems, such as ADAS for CAD vehicles, are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes emotional circuitry to receive stimuli for a robot integrally having the robotic system, process the received stimuli to identify potential adversities, and output information describing the identified potential adversities; and thinking circuitry to receive the information describing the identified potential adversities, process the received information describing the identified potential adversities to determine respective fear levels for the identified potential adversities in view of a current context of the robot, and generate commands to the robot to respond to the identified potential adversities, based at least in part on the determined fear levels for the identified potential adversities. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

Abstract: A method may include receiving, using at least one processor, location information that includes a location of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV); querying, using the at least one processor, a policy database to retrieve a notification condition for a first property with respect to UAVs; calculating, using the at least one processor, a distance between the UAV and the first property using the received location information determining, using the at least one processor, if the distance of the UAV with respect to the first property is within a range defined in the notification condition for the first property; and transmitting, using the at least one processor, a notification to a party associated with the first property when the distance of the UAV with respect to the first property is within the range defined in the notification condition for the first property.

Abstract: Technologies for generating user-specific workout plans and tracking a user's progress are disclosed. The user-specific workout plan may be based on a user's goal and the particular workout facility to be used by the user. During performance of the user-specific workout by the user, the user is provided with workout data regarding the user's performance. Such workout data may be based on sensor data generated by sensors of the exercise machine used by the user and/or other sensors carried or worn by the user.

Abstract: Various systems and methods for a collaborative phone reputation system are described herein. A system for implementing a collaborative phone reputation system includes a compute device comprising: a call handling module to detect, at the compute device, an incoming call for a user of the compute device; a scoring module to determine a local probabilistic score that the incoming call is desirable for the user; and an execution module to perform an action at the compute device based on the local probabilistic score.

PROTECTION SYSTEM INCLUDING MACHINE LEARNING SNAPSHOT EVALUATION

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a protection system including machine learning snapshot evaluation. A device may comprise a machine learning engine (MLE) to generate snapshots of device operation. The MLE may use active or planned operations in the snapshot to learn user behavior. Once normal user behavior is established for the device, the MLE may be able to determine when snapshots include unusual behavior that may signify a threat to the device. Snapshots determined to include unusual behavior may be transmitted to a remote resource for evaluation. The remote resource may include at least a user behavior classification engine (UBCE) to classify the user behavior by characterizing it as at least one type of use. The snapshot may be analyzed by the UBCE to determine if potential threats exist in the device, and the threat analysis may be provided to the device for evaluation and/or corrective action.
