Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for supporting the mobility of a subscriber across a communication system comprising a communication terminal which is associated with a first communication device and can be registered when a log-on procedure is initiated by the input of log-on information relating to the subscriber, a second communication device for providing configuration data of the subscriber, and a packet-oriented network by which means the communication terminal is connected to the first and second communication devices. Once a successful registration has been carried out, the communication terminal is logged off the first communication device and associated with the second communication device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the flexible definition of graphic information on a communication terminal, said communication terminal being stationary and controlled by a communication device. The data representing the graphic information is stored in the communication device and is transmitted to the stationary communication terminal. Representation of the graphic information, especially a company logo, occurs on an output unit associated with the communication terminal.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and to an arrangement for the imaging representation of information, particularly for use with communication terminals. The arrangement comprises an image output device having at least one first partial region and at least one second partial region, wherein the first partial region is designed such that the representation of the information is optimized for high-quality imaging and the second partial region is designed such that it is optimized for lower-quality imaging. According to the method, the first partial region is activated when data is present for output using high-quality imaging, while the second partial region is always actively operated.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for controlling the power consumption of a telephone (10), (310). A power saving mode is automatically switched on or off for the telephone (10), (310), depending on: at least one given timespan, within which the telephone (10) is predicted not to be used or another terminal (380).
Abstract:
Method for an electronic device (IT) that is controllable in at least one operating state (OP) and one standby state (SBY), with which a main processing unit (MPU) controls the operating state (OP) and a preprocessing unit (PPU) controls the standby state (SBY), such that, by means of the preprocessing unit (PPU), the main processing unit (MPU) and, to some extent, the functional units of the electronic device (IT) that are implemented by circuitry are switched by the control into at least one state having reduced energy consumption. An advantage can be seen in the fact that, by using a preprocessing unit (PPU), in the operating state of “standby” (SBY) the total energy consumption of the electronic device (IT) is reduced, both due to the significantly reduced energy consumption of a preprocessor (PPE) in the preprocessing unit (PPU) and to the units (MPU) that have been switched by the control into a state having reduced energy consumption, and the electronic device can therefore be operated more economically. An additional advantage is that the reduction of the energy consumption is achieved exclusively by circuitry measures and that no implementations must be included in the programs of the electronic device (IT).
Abstract:
The electronic module (BG) incorporates a specified separation edge (SAK, SAK1, SAK2, SAK3) for the mechanical, irreversible separation of a separable part (AT, AT1, AT2, AT3) of the module (BG) from the remainder of the module (BGR), both the separable part (AT, AT1, AT2, AT3) and the module remainder (BGR) incorporating essentially interacting circuit components (ST1, ST2) for an intended electrotechnical operation of the module (BG). By separating the separable part (AT, AT1, AT2, AT3) the electrotechnical operation of the module (BG) can be permanently deactivated.
Abstract:
A method, a detection device and a server device for evaluation of a communication arriving via a connecting line at the communication device are provided. Communication information which can be read or determined from the incoming communication is detected by the detection device which is coupled between the connecting line and the communication device, and is associated solely with the communication device. Furthermore, the detection device checks whether the detected communication information matches predeterminable data pattern information, and/or whether a response message to be initiated by the incoming communication from the communication device via the connecting line is absent. If the check result is positive, the detected communication information is stored, and is read out during the course of a central evaluation process carried out by the server device.
Abstract:
In one aspect of the invention, emergency modes of operation for an adapter unit comprising a channel transmitter/receiver unit, a data packet transmitter/receiver unit, and a data insertion/data retrieval unit which inserts signaling data transmitted by the channel receiver unit into data packets and forwards the same to the data packet transmitter unit while retrieving signaling data from the data packets received by the data packet receiver unit and forwarding the same to the channel transmitter unit is provided. The adapter unit especially allows terminals of a branch to be connected in a fail-safe and simple manner to a central telecommunication system.
Abstract:
A communication system has several communication devices, several communication terminals and a communication network connecting the communication terminals to the communication devices. A first address for a connection to a home communication device assigned to a specific communication terminal and a second address for a connection to an alternate communication device is stored in the communication terminals in each case. At least one terminal profile included in the terminal-relevant data is stored to which the second address can assign different communication terminals accessing the alternate communication device.
Abstract:
Activating a feature of a first communication terminal, includes registering first address information that specifies the first communication terminal based on an incoming transmission at the first communication terminal or at a connection controller assigned to the first communication terminal, registering second address information that specifies a sender based on the incoming transmission, checking whether the registered second address information has been assigned for the first address information, and activating the feature when the checking returns a positive result.
