Abstract:
A printed circuit board includes a base and a signal trace laid on the base. The signal trace includes a plurality of straight line segments parallel to the first fibers. The signal trace is laid on the base in such a manner that the line segments of the signal trace mapped on the base partly superpose the first fibers and partly superpose gaps between two adjacent first fibers.
Abstract:
An exemplary computer enclosure includes a chassis, a pair of fixing members, a plurality of slats, and an actuating member. The chassis includes a pair of first parallel panels, and a second panel perpendicular to the first panels. The first panels and second panel cooperatively define an opening therebetween. The fixing members are attached to the first panels. The slats are pivotably attached to the first panels to adjustably shield the opening. Each of the slats includes a gear shaft fixed to an end thereof. The actuating member includes a rack bar slidably attached to one of the first panels to mesh with the gears shafts. The slats are rotatable clockwise or anticlockwise. Thus, the opening may be adjustably exposed to control an amount of air entering the chassis for dissipation of heat.
Abstract:
In one preferred embodiment, an objective lens actuator includes a base, a suspension apparatus mounted on the base, a holder suspended by the suspension apparatus for holding an objective lens, a voice coil motor (VCM) for driving the holder to vibrate, and a cover. The VCM includes a first yoke, a second yoke and a pair of magnets fixed on the first yoke and the second yoke respectively. The first yoke and the second yoke respectively include a first part and a second part. The cover is made of a material having a magnetic conductivity. The cover connects the first part and the second part of each of the first yoke and the second yoke.

Abstract:
A circuit board assembly includes a circuit board and a semiconductor chip mounted on the board. The semiconductor chip includes a plurality of solder spots arrayed thereon in a matrix pattern. The solder spots except those located at corners of the pattern are jointed to the board via tin balls to form signal transmitting channels for transmitting signals between the board and the chip. Should the circuit board suffer impact, damage to the signal transmitting channels may be effectively minimized or prevented.
Abstract:
A PCI Express interface testing apparatus for testing characteristics of signal transmissions of a PCI Express interface includes a printed circuit board, a plurality of sending signal connectors, and a plurality of receiving signals connectors. Both the sending signal connectors and the receiving signal connectors are electrically connected to the printed circuit board. A related method for testing the characteristics of signal transmissions of a PCI Express interface is also provided.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system for computing the frequency of a low frequency wave. The system includes: a wave producer (3) configured for sending out a first wave with a high frequency; a device (4) configured for sending out a second wave with a low frequency to be computed, the first wave and the second wave interfering with each other thereby producing a third wave; a sensor (2) configured for receiving the third wave; and a computer (1) installed a wave analyzing software and linked with the sensor, and configured for receiving and analyzing the third wave in order to compute the frequency of the second wave. A related method is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A layout configuration of a differential pair for a printed circuit board (PCB) having a signal plane is provided. In a preferred embodiment, the layout configuration comprises: a differential pair on the signal plane; a pair of vias abutting the differential pair, and the pair of vias being mutually dissymmetrical about the differential pair; and a distance between the pair of vias along the differential pair being equal to ½ TV, wherein T is a signal rise time, V is a speed of the signal. Therefore, the layout configuration can meet with the requirements of impedance matching, reduce reflection, and improve signal integrity.
Abstract:
An arrangement of printed circuit traces includes a plurality of signal and ground traces on both surfaces of a substrate alternately arranged whereby no two signal traces are adjacent to each other on the same surface and a signal trace on one surface is aligned with a ground trace on the opposite surface. The ground traces on one surface of the substrate can be replaced with power pins for a high speed signal transmission application. Alternatively, a pair of signal traces can be provided between adjacent power pins on one surface of a substrate and between adjacent ground traces on an opposite surface of the substrate. Each signal trace is formed closer to the adjacent power pin or ground trace than the adjacent signal trace. The width of each power pin and ground trace is larger than the distance between outer extremes of each pair of signal traces.
Abstract:
A circuit board includes an insulation layer, a signal layer disposed on one side of the insulation layer, and a ground plane and a power plane disposed on the insulation layer at a side opposite to the signal layer. The insulation layer forms a separating area arranged between the ground plane and the power plane. At least two signal traces parallel to each other are arranged on the signal layer at one side corresponding to one of the ground plane and the power plane. A width of the signal trace close to the separating area is wider than that of the signal trace away from the separating area.
