Abstract: A roller assembly for a mobile cleaning system for cleaning a work surface can include a drive shaft, a sheath, a bushing, and a bushing shroud. The drive shaft can be rotatable about a drive axis, and the drive shaft can include a driven end and an opposite bushing end. The sheath can be supported by the drive shaft and the sheath can be rotatable with the drive shaft. The sheath can include a shell engageable with the work surface. The bushing can be located about the bushing end of the drive shaft. The bushing shroud can be connected to the bushing. The sheath and the drive shaft can be together rotatable with respect to the bushing and the bushing shroud, the bushing shroud can include an outer portion defining a first radius of curvature and a recessed portion connected to the outer portion.

Abstract: A robot cleaner includes a first cleaning module including left and right spin mops configured to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise when viewed from above while being in contact with a floor, and a second cleaning module including a rolling member configured to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise when viewed from a left side while being in contact with a floor, the rolling member being spaced apart from the left and right spin mops in an anteroposterior direction. A controller controls rotational motion of the left and right spin mops and rotational motion of the rolling member.

Abstract: A method for connecting a household appliance to a wireless home network, wherein a user terminal connects to a temporary communication network of the household appliance and transmits network access information for the home network to the household appliance, wherein the temporary communication network is ended subsequently and the household appliance logs into the wireless home network by using the received network access information, and wherein the user terminal obtains information from the household appliance about the fact that the log-in of the household appliance into the home network has failed. The household appliance opens a temporary communication network again if the log-in fails, wherein the user terminal recognizes the renewed opening of the temporary communication network and classifies it as information about the failure of the household appliance to log into the home network.

Abstract: An autonomous floor cleaning robot includes a body, a controller supported by the body, a drive supporting the body to maneuver the robot across a floor surface in response to commands from the controller, and a pad holder attached to an underside of the body to hold a removable cleaning pad during operation of the robot. The pad includes a mounting plate and a mounting surface. The mounting plate is attached to the mounting surface. The robot includes a pad sensor to sense a feature on the pad and to generate a signal based on the feature, which is defined in part by a cutout on the card backing. The mounting plate enables the pad sensor to detect the feature. The controller is responsive to the signal to perform operations including selecting a cleaning mode based on the signal, and controlling the robot according to a selected cleaning mode.
