Abstract: Process of fine filtering an alkaline metal cleaner containing emulsified soluble oil in which the requisite amount of aminopolyacetic acid or ammonium or alkali metal salt thereof is added to the cleaner periodically to maintain unchelated hardness in the range of zero to about 400 p.p.m. hardness expressed as CaCO3, and up to 2 percent by weight of free polyacetic acid or ammonium or alkali metal salt thereof, and the cleaner is filtered through a medium capable of removing solids larger than about 0.1 to 10 microns major dimension.

Abstract: A filter system configured to remove microfibers released from textiles being processed in a fluid. This fluid is sent into a filter housing containing a filter cartridge which in turn contains a movable inner filter. The movable inner filter is sufficiently flexible as to permit random movement in the fluid so that the inner filter rubs against the cartridge housing thereby removing particulate matter from the cartridge housing, thereby extending the useful life of the filter cartridge.

Abstract: A filter device provides designs that permit variable levels of solid particle removal. The filter device retains the particles in the filter medium when removed, thus avoiding the re-entry of the particles when the power system has cooled down which occurs in conventional filters currently in use. The system comprising: an inlet for fluid connection to a settling tank; an outlet for fluid connection to a service tank; and an arrangement of plural primary filtration devices The arrangement is fluidly connected between the inlet and outlet so that fuel flowing from the settling tank via the inlet to the service tank via the outlet passes through at least one of the primary filtration devices. Abstract: A waste filtration system is provided, suitable for separating waste content in a waste stream, for use in heat recovery, including a filter screen, auger and extractor pump. A novel filtering process includes steps of adjusting extraction rate of waste content by feedback measurement such that a target set-point is maintained. The feedback control is provided by either use of a variable speed motor detecting load change on the auger or sensors correlated to waste content, and displacement type extraction pump The waste filtration system can be used in a closed loop without leaks or open waste. The resulting filtered fluid is suitable for improving performance in heat exchange and recovery arrangements.
