Abstract:
Convertible embossing device comprising a structure (1) with two fixed sides (10) and two mobile sides (11) with respective external faces (EF, EM) and internal faces (IF, IM) and provided with, in correspondence of the respective internal faces (IF, IM), two upper recesses (12, 13) and two lower recesses (12′, 13′) with a circle-arc profile intended to support the end flanges (20, 30) of the two embossing rolls (2, 3) orthogonal to the sides (10, 11) of the same structure (1), wherein the mobile sides (11) are joined to the fixed sides (10) and the respective upper and lower recesses (12, 13, 12′, 13′) define, by cooperating with one another, two pairs of circular seats for the flanges (20, 30) of the rolls (2, 3), and in that, in a second operating position, the mobile sides (11) are distanced from the fixed sides (10) and the upper recesses (12, 13) of the sides (10) and (11) define, each one by cooperating with corresponding semi-circular closure flanges (15, 16), two pairs of circular seats for the flanges (20, 30) of the rolls (2, 3).
Abstract:
A method for producing an article made of a web material, comprising at least one ply, wherein a superabsorbent material in powder form is associated with said ply.
Abstract:
A multi-layered paper product that has bridging regions for inhibiting nesting is provided. For example, the paper product can contain a first and second layer that define ridges and valleys. Bridging regions are formed into at least one of the outer surfaces of the layers. In particular, the bridging regions are positioned at an angle of between about 0° to about 180° relative to the ridges and also have a length sufficient to extend between the peaks of at least two of the ridges. The bridging regions can be formed in a variety of ways, such as with an embossing roll that contains embossing elements. Moreover, the bridging regions can also have a variety of shapes, sizes, orientations, and/or patterns.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an embossed sheet 10 made up of at least a first and a second ply 12, 14 of creped cellulose cotton of the type in which the first ply 12 has an embossed design 16 involving a first series of first projections 18 that form in particular first alignments and in which the apexes 32 are connected to the internal face 24 of the facing second ply 14 characterized in that these two plies 12, 14 each have a second embossed design 36 involving a second series of second projections 38, 40, and by the fact that the apexes 42, 44 of the second projections 38, 40 of a ply 12, 14 extended outward and are facing and near apexes 44, 42 of the second projections 40, 38 of the other ply 14, 12.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an absorbent paper product, such as a napkin or tissue, including at least two tissue paper plies which are superposed and joined, cut or precut into a desired format and connected to one another at least over a segment of a peripheral zone. The plies are joined along the segment by marking patterns without resort to glueing and at least one ply is fitted with embossing patterns in a central zone. The invention applies to sanitary and household papers, in particular disposable napkins and tissues.

Abstract:
The rotating cylinder for processing a web material comprises an essentially rigid cylindrical core (13), on which is fitted an interchangeable sleeve (45) of elastically expandable material whose rigidity is less than that of the material of the core; the sleeve is axially and angularly fixable to the core and is provided on its outer surface with a relief pattern. For each end of the 3 cylinder, there is provided at least one corresponding mechanical locking member which can be fixed to the corresponding end of the core of the cylinder and which interacts with the corresponding end of the interchangeable sleeve to lock the interchangeable sleeve angularly with respect to the core of the cylinder.
Abstract:
Method and device for producing a laminated, embossed and printed web of flexible material, such as paper and nonwoven material. Each of two web-shaped materials are separately embossed in selected embossing patterns while leaving other areas substantially non-embossed, at least one of the web-shaped materials is printed in a selected printing pattern, the printing and embossing steps being synchronized so that printing occurs mainly in the non-embossed areas of the web-shaped material. Glue is transferred to the embossed areas of at least one of the web-shaped materials and the embossed areas of the two web-shaped materials are adhesively joined in a lamination step to form a laminated web product.
Abstract:
In a paper towel (1) with for example three layers (2, 3, 4) the two outer layers (3, 4) are provided with embossing (6) and the inner layer (2) is provided with printing (5). The layers (2, 3, 4) are at least partially transparent and are cemented to one another by means of a colored glue as the binder (9).
Abstract:
The invention concerns an absorbent paper product with basic weight of about 36 to about 105 g/m2 comprising at least three pleats, a first and second outer embossed pleats each comprising raised patterns consisting at least partially of discrete protuberances oriented towards the inside of the structure and a non-embossed central pleat, the pleats being associated by linking the distal surfaces of at least part of the protuberances of each of the outer pleats to the central pleat. The invention is characterised in that each of the embossed outer pleats is linked by means of an adhesive to said central pleat, and at least one of the pleats has a pattern density more than 30 protuberances per cm2.
