The laser cutting apparatus may comprise a laser configured for cutting and/or ablating one or more patterns into a stencil material. The stamping apparatus may be configured to receive the stencil material from the laser cutting apparatus and may have an actuatable elastomeric press pad configured to press the impressionable material into the patterns formed in the stencil material by the laser cutting apparatus. The system may also comprise various feeding devices configured to feed the stencil material from the laser cutting apparatus to the stamping apparatus and/or configured to feed the impressionable material through the stamping apparatus.
Abstract:
An embossing tool includes a rotary embossing roll (10) with an axis of rotation (16) in its longitudinal direction and raised embossing protrusions (18; 18a, 18b) arranged on the operative surface area (12) of the embossing roll (10). The embossing roll (10) includes a least two segments (14; 14a-14h) forming at least a part of the operative surface area (12) of the embossing roll (10). Each segment (14; 14a-14h) is provided with at least one raised embossing protrusion (18; 18a, 18b) and the radial position and angular orientation of at least one segment (14; 14a-14h) is adjustable by at least two spaced apart, independently provided adjustment devices (26).
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a roll for devices for the treatment of ribbon-shaped paper material includes a central shaft, on which a coaxial tubular jacket is fitted, among which two oscillating and non-rotating connection organs are positioned, the central shaft of the roll having, at opposite ends, oscillating bearings housed in a supporting structure, wherein the central shaft and jacket are both rotating and are also made torsionally integral by means of at least one flexible organ capable of transmitting a torque. In another embodiment, a device for the treatment of ribbon-like paper material includes with a pair of rolls opposed as specified above, wherein a first roll has a tubular steel jacket and a second roll has a tubular rubber jacket.
Abstract:
A flexible die (1) is for use in an embossing apparatus. The embossing apparatus includes a pair of flexible bases (2a, 2b) wound around a pair of respective cylindrical rollers disposed in opposing arrangement. A processed sheet (S) is passed through between the pair of cylindrical rollers so as to carry out Braille embossing. The pair of flexible bases (2a, 2b) include a female flexible base (2a) and a male flexible base (2b) that are configured to mate with one another. The male flexible base (2b) includes male projections (3b) corresponding to a Braille character to be formed on the processed sheet (S). The female flexible base (2a) includes female projections (3b) including depressions (30) configured to fit with the respective male projections (3b).

Abstract:
An embossing apparatus comprises pairs of rotary embossing drums (230) driven by respective servo motors (260). The drums have an embossing formation. A conveyor feeds blanks to the embossing drums (230). A control senses the position and speed of the blank and the position and speed of the drum and applies a correction to the rotational position of the drum such that the blank will engage the embossing formation in the correct position as it travels past the formation.
Abstract:
The embossing unit includes in combination: a first support for a first embossing roller and a second support for a first pressure roller, cooperating with the first embossing roller. The second support presents two seats to receive and support the first pressure roller in two different positions with respect to this support. The embossing unit also includes a third support for a second embossing roller. The third support can take at least two different operating positions. A fourth support is provided to support a second pressure roller suitable to cooperate with the second embossing roller and suitable to take at least an operating position and an idle position. Finally, there is provided a fifth support with a double seat to receive and support in two different positions alternatively a marrying roll or the second pressure roller.
Abstract:
The rotating cylinder comprises: an elongated inner core (12) which is substantially rigid and an interchangeable sleeve (45) which is fitted onto the core; the sleeve is axially and angularly constrained to said core and is provided on its external surface with a raised pattern. The internal surface of the interchangeable sleeve and the external surface of the inner core are conical surfaces which are mutually complementary; axial and angular locking of the interchangeable sleeve and the inner core is achieved by the friction between the conical surfaces which are forced axially one onto the other.
Abstract:
For the production of a sheet product including at least two layers (V1, V2) it is suggested, among other things, an embossing device including a first pressure roller (5; 105) interacting with a first and a second embossing cylinder (1, 3; 101, 103) provided with respective points (1P, 3P; 101P, 103P) on their cylindrical surface.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for producing different hole patterns in sheet-shaped print materials. An apparatus and process for producing different hole patterns in a sheet-shaped print material is provided wherein a punch in a tool roller is raised and lowered relative to an outer surface of the tool roller in order to effectuate and ineffectuate, respectively, punching by the punch. According to a preferred embodiment, a die roller is provided having a die corresponding with the punch, and sheets are fed through the tool roller and the die roller. In one embodiment punches and dies are provided, and the punches are selectively raised and lowered in order to achieve a desired hole pattern in the sheet.
