Abstract: A gas cylinder cart includes a frame, a first control assembly composed of a first control panel wall and a first gas distribution assembly, a second control assembly composed of a second control panel wall and a second gas distribution assembly, and a central manifold connected to each of the first and second control assemblies. The central manifold includes a valve assembly allowing for connection of both the first and second control assemblies to gas cylinders, connection of only one of the first and second control assemblies to gas cylinders, or connection of the first and/or second control assemblies to remote gas sources. Inclusion of the first and second control assemblies within the gas cylinder cart allows for use of the gas cylinder cart in conjunction with different systems that might require different control assemblies.

Abstract: A pressurized container system for a motor vehicle includes a pressurized container configured to store a fuel, wherein the pressurized container system has a shut-off valve which is configured to interrupt, in a currentless state, a fluid connection between the pressurized container and at least one fuel gas consumer. A safety switch is configured to interrupt a power supply to the shut-off valve, where the safety switch is not an ignition switch of the motor vehicle.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to compressed gas storage units exhibiting one or more safety features. Particular embodiments employ a pressure relief mechanism to rapidly yet safely vent the contents of the tank in the event of a fire. The mechanism may comprise an internally piloted relief valve in communication with temperature-sensitive element(s) present along the tank dimensions. Under high temperature conditions indicative of a fire, the element communicates a signal to open the internally piloted relief valve. In some embodiments the element is configured to communicate a heat signal (e.g., by thermal conduction). In certain embodiments the element is configured to communicate a pressure change signal (e.g., pneumatic, hydraulic). In other embodiments the element may communicate different signal types, such as electric (e.g., thermoelectric) or mechanical (e.g., shear or tension forces). Also disclosed is a module incorporating a plurality of tanks to offer enhanced storage capacity.

Abstract: A high pressure tank includes a resin liner, a cap, a seal member, and a collar. The liner contains fluid. The cap has a supply/discharge hole for supplying/discharging the fluid to/from the liner. The collar has a passage hole connected to the supply/discharge hole. A tubular portion of the liner is inserted into the supply/discharge hole, and held between an outer circumferential surface of the collar and an inner circumferential surface of the supply/discharge hole. The seal member is provided in a seal groove formed in the inner circumferential surface of the supply/discharge hole. A fluid inlet channel is formed at least in one of the cap and the collar, for guiding the fluid from a protruding end of the tubular portion into the seal groove through space between the inner circumferential surface of the supply/discharge hole and the outer circumferential surface of the tubular portion.

Abstract: A high pressure tank production apparatus includes a feeder for feeding reinforced fibers wound around a resin liner and a near infrared ray radiation unit inserted into the resin liner to radiate near infrared rays. The reinforced fibers wound around the resin liner absorb near infrared rays radiated from the radiate near infrared ray radiation unit by a near infrared absorber contained in the reinforced fibers. As a result, an outer layer made of fiber reinforced resin is formed to cover the resin liner.

Abstract: A high-pressure gas tank includes: a tank body section; a base attached to an opening of the tank body section; a valve attached to an opening of the base so as to open and close a gas supply-discharge port of the tank body section, a part of the valve being inserted in the base, and the valve having a contact surface that contacts a seat surface as a surface of an end of the base, the surface of the end of the base forming the opening of the base; and a seal member arranged between an outer peripheral surface of a portion of the valve that is inserted in the opening of the base and an inner peripheral surface of the base. A slit for forming a communication hole communicating between outside of the high-pressure gas tank and a space between the base and valve is provided.
