    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a display device can include forming a thin-film transistor (TFT) array substrate including data lines, gate lines, TFTs at intersections of the data lines and the gate lines, common electrodes, common lines disposed parallel to the gate lines, and connected to the common electrodes, a protective layer on the gates lines, the common lines and the data lines, and a first protrusion protruding from the protective layer; and forming a color filter array substrate including first, second and third color filter layers corresponding to first, second and third sub-pixels, respectively, in which portions of the first, second and third color filer layers overlap each other in an area between two adjacent rows of sub-pixels to form a second protrusion, and the second protrusion overlaps with both one common line among the plurality of common lines and one gate line among the gate lines that is adjacent to the one common line, and the area between the two adjacent rows of sub-pixels is configured to block light leakage from the corresponding adjacent sub-pixels.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a display device including a display panel and a haze layer. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels and a color determining surface. The orthogonal projection of each of the plurality of pixels onto the color determining surface forms a plurality of adjacent pixel ranges. The haze layer is disposed on a side of the color determining surface and has a haze surface facing away from the color determining surface. The haze layer has a scattering coefficient ranging from −1.4 to 0. The haze surface includes a first location corresponding to the center of the first pixel range, and a second location corresponding to a location away from the first edge towards the second pixel range wherein the distance therebetween ranges from 87 μm to 174 μm.

    Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device includes a plurality of pixels. Each pixel includes two sub-pixels adjacent to each other in a first direction. Each sub-pixel has one of three colors allocated thereto. Two colors of the two sub-pixels included in the pixel are different. The two colors of the two sub-pixels and a positional relation between the two sub-pixels are the same in each of the pixels arrayed in a second direction. One color not allocated to the two sub-pixels included in a first pixel out of the three colors is allocated to at least one of the sub-pixels included in second pixels adjacent to the first pixel in the first direction. The sub-pixels having the same color allocated thereto are arranged along the first direction with one sub-pixel interposed therebetween, the one sub-pixel having another color allocated thereto.
