Abstract: For a content item with unknown tasks performed by a viewing user on an online system, the online system predicts a likelihood of interacting with each content item using a prediction model associated with a plurality of tasks. The prediction model comprises a plurality of independent layers, a plurality of shared layers and a plurality of separate layers. Each independent layer is configured to extract features, for each task, that are not shared across the plurality of tasks. The plurality of shared layers are configured to extract common features that are shared across the plurality of tasks. Each separate layer is configured to predict likelihood of the viewing user performing a task associated with the separate layer based on the features extracted from the plurality of independent layers and the plurality of shared layers.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a non-transitory machine-readable medium that stores a program. The program receives a set of metadata associated with a web page provided by an application. The set of metadata includes a first attribute value in a first hierarchy of attributes and a second attribute value in a second hierarchy of attributes. The method further determines a set of boost values based on the set of metadata, the first hierarchy, and the second hierarchy. The method also generates a query for documents associated with the web page based on the set of boost values. The method further executes the query in order to generate a result set of document associated with the web page.

Abstract: An automated method and system for a conveyor holding system for holding vials of a multi-vial order in a holding pattern until all vials of the order have been filled by an automatic pill counter. The system uses RFID information to divert vials off the conveyor into the conveyor holding loop if all vials of the multi-vial order have not been filled. The system is adapted to divert the vials of the multi-vial order out of the holding loop when all vials of the multi-vial order have been filled.

Abstract: Implementations of a system, method and apparatus described herein receive, for a configuration item in a configuration management database, status indicating an operational state and an automation state associated with the configuration item, and determine whether a conflict will occur with at least one of the operational state or the automation state of the configuration item as a result of a process affecting the configuration item. When the conflict will not occur, a change is made to at least one of the operational state or the automation state of the configuration item in accordance with the process. Upon a conclusion of the process, the change is removed. If the conflict will occur, the process not allowed to continue.

Abstract: A system includes a server that implements a metric server adapter and a metrics application. The server receives a user-agent configured product specification data set that identifies an item or items having attributes which causes the metrics application to obtain time-dependent metric data. The metric data includes reference data for one or more responsive items responsive to a respective item in the product specification data set. The metrics application dynamically discovers differences in the attribute data, which enables the metric server adapter to define context-specific instructions for adapting the metric data for the respective item. An adjustment value applied to the reference data transforms the reference data and produces context-specific reference data for the respective item. One or more user interfaces expose the context-specific reference data values produced for the user-agent configured product specification data set to at least a client computing device associated with the user-agent.

Abstract: A service coordination system divides a geographic region into clusters by performing an iterative clustering process that joins locations with similar characteristics. An operational parameter is generated for each cluster, and this parameter is used throughout the cluster. This process results in the generation of clusters that cover areas that have relatively uniform characteristics. As a result, when the same operational parameter is used throughout a cluster, the parameter is appropriate for every location covered by the cluster.
