Abstract: A device may receive channel data associated with a channel provided between a network and a user device, and may calculate, based on the channel data, key performance indicator data that includes a plurality of key performance indicators for the channel. The device may multiply the plurality of key performance indicators by factors to generate factored key performance indicator data that includes a plurality of factored key performance indicators. The device may apply weights to the plurality of factored key performance indicators of the factored key performance indicator data to generate factored weighted key performance indicator data that includes a plurality of factored weighted key performance indicators. The device may calculate a quality indicator for the channel based on the factored weighted key performance indicator data, and may perform one or more actions based on the quality indicator for the channel.

Abstract: Carrier aggregation allows concurrent transmission on multiple component carriers (CC) to increase the data rate. A user equipment (UE) device in a cellular network provides periodic or aperiodic channel state information of the DL channel to a base station (eNB) for each of the aggregated CCs. The UE receives two or more reference signals corresponding to two or more aggregated CCs from an eNB. The UE computes a plurality of channel state information (CSI) reports for each of two or more aggregated CCs derived from the two or more reference signals. The UE receives a positive CSI request from the eNB for a CSI report and transmits CSI feedback to the eNB comprising one or more CSI reports selected from the plurality of CSI reports.

Abstract: MAC-CE based dynamic MCS tables switching is introduced to support addition of higher modulation orders and new constellation types. First, a UE receives a RRC configuration indicating a plurality of MCS tables. Next, the UE receives a MAC CE activating a MCS table among the plurality of MCS tables. Doing so allows MCS tables to be dynamically switched via a MAC-CE based activation/reactivation adaptive to current signal to noise (SNR)/spectral efficiency (SPEF) experienced in a downlink and uplink. Finally, the UE communicates data with a base station using a MCS in the activated MCS table.

A communication device, which may be otherwise known as user equipment (UE), may identify a default modulation and coding scheme table and a preconfigured modulation and coding scheme table associated with a resource pool. The UE may receive, from a transmitting communication device, an indication of the preconfigured modulation and coding scheme table to use for upcoming sidelink communications. The UE may then communicate based on the preconfigured modulation and coding scheme table.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a terminal device that allows constraints on user allocation to be prevented and spread codes to be allocated in a scheduler when non-adaptive HARQ is employed using a PHICH. A codeword generator generates code words by encoding data, a layer mapping unit places each CW in one or a plurality of layers, a DMRS generator generates a reference signal for each layer in which a CW is placed by using any resource among a plurality of resources defined by a mutually orthogonal plurality of OCCs, and an ACK/NACK demodulator receives a response signal indicating a retransmission request. When a response signal requesting retransmission of only a CW placed in a plurality of layers is received, the DMRS generator uses each resource having the same OCC among the plurality of resources for the reference signals generated in the corresponding layers.

Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for facilitating scheduling of uplink data using demodulation reference signal and scheduled resources. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise configuring a network device with a periodic rate of specified sounding reference signals with a periodicity using radio resource control signaling. The system can further facilitate estimating channel state information associated with a channel via which the network device communicates. The system can further facilitate transmitting an uplink grant with uplink transmission parameters to set up a physical uplink shared channel, wherein the uplink transmission parameters are determined based on the channel state information. The system can further facilitate estimating scheduling parameters based on a first estimation information associated with the physical uplink shared channel.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for scheduling data transmission in a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) system. The MIMO system may comprise at least one MIMO transmitter and at least one MIMO receiver. Feedback from one or more receivers may be used by a transmitter to improve quality, capacity, and scheduling in MIMO communication systems. The method may include generating or receiving information pertaining to a MIMO channel metric and information pertaining to a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) in respect of a transmitted signal; and sending a next transmission to a receiver using a MIMO mode selected in accordance with the information pertaining to the MIMO channel metric, and an adaptive coding and modulation selected in accordance with the information pertaining to the CQI.
