Abstract: A fine cellulose fiber composite containing fine cellulose fibers having a carboxy group and an amine having an ethylene oxide/propylene oxide (EO/PO) copolymer moiety, the fine cellulose fibers being bound with the amine at the carboxy group to form a salt, wherein the fine cellulose fibers have a carboxy group content of 0.1 mmol/g or more, and wherein the molecular weight of the EO/PO copolymer moiety is from 700 to 10,000, and wherein a PO content ratio in the EO/PO copolymer moiety is from 1 to 70% by mol. The fine cellulose fiber composite of the present invention has high dispersibility in the resin and can exhibit an effect of increasing strength, so that the fine cellulose fiber composite is suitably as various fillers, and the like.

Abstract: A compatibilized cement composition for the treatment of a subterranean formation and a method of treating a subterranean formation are disclosed. The method can include placing in a subterranean formation a composition including a compatibilized cement composition. The compatibilized cement composition can include a curable resin or cured product thereof, a cement slurry, and a compatibilizer composition, a reaction product thereof, or a combination thereof. The compatibilizer composition can include a substituted or unsubstituted C5-C50 hydrocarbon including at least one internal olefin and a polyether.

There is also provided a material comprising fibers and having a density of at least 1200 kg/m3, wherein the fibers comprise native cellulose and dialcohol cellulose and the oxygen permeability of the material according to ASTM D3985 is below 30 ml·μm/(m2·kPa·24 h) at 23° C. and 80% relative humidity.

Abstract: A fastening component is a molded article of a mixture in which microfibrillated cellulose fibers are dispersed in a thermoplastic resin, wherein the thermoplastic resin has a melting point of between 150 and 200° C., and wherein when the total mass % of the thermoplastic resin and the cellulose fibers is set to be 100 mass %, the mass % of the cellulose fibers included in the mixture is greater than 20 mass % and less than 60 mass %. When the total mass % of the thermoplastic resin and the cellulose fibers is set to be 100%, the mass % of the cellulose fibers included in the mixture is preferably equal to or greater than 30 mass % and equal to or less than 50 mass %.

Abstract: The present invention provides a formed article, or more specifically a transparent substrate, which effectively utilizes a natural stuff and which has a low linear expansion coefficient, a high light transmittance and an appropriate level of moisture permeability. The transparent substrate includes at least an oxidized polysaccharide and has a linear expansion coefficient of 50 ppm/° C. or less at 30-150° C. and a light transmittance of 70% or more at 660 nm. Its manufacturing method includes an oxidation process in which cellulose reacts with TEMPO or its derivatives as a catalyst to be oxidized in water under the presence of a co-oxidant, along with a fiberizing process in which the oxidized cellulose is fiberized in water to form a cellulose fiber, and a substrate-forming process in which a transparent substrate is formed from a cellulose dispersion liquid containing the cellulose fiber.
