Abstract:
A method for adjusting a field of view for exposure of an X-ray system is provided. The method comprises: capturing an image of a patient on an examining table of the system by an image sensor, wherein the image sensor is placed at a predetermined position in the system; displaying the captured image on a display for selection of a region of interest or a point of interest by a user on the image; automatically determining a target position of an X-ray source in response to the selection of the region of interest or the point of interest on the image, wherein a desired field of view for exposure covering the region of interest or the point of interest is obtained when the X-ray source is located at the target position; and automatically locating the X-ray source at the target position in response to the determination of the target position.
Abstract:
This invention provides novel dihydropyridine derivatives of the formula I having protein tyrosine kinase inhibitory activity, to process for the manufacture thereof and to the use thereof for the treatment of c-Met-mediated diseases or c-Met-mediated conditions.
Abstract:
A radiographic system (100) is provided wherein a single X-ray detector can be handled freely using a cable and which can prevent an operator or a patient from being troubled by the cable. The radiographic system (100) comprises a radiographic panel (5) configured to radiograph in two dimensions a radiation exposed to a subject and output radiation image data, a cable (6) for the supply of electric power to the radiographic panel and transfer of the radiation image data, a conveyance unit (8) for conveying the cable in a predetermined direction, a cable length adjusting unit (7) provided in the conveyance unit to adjust the length of the cable, and a movement control unit (72) configured to move the conveyance unit in accordance with a tilting direction of the cable from the cable length adjusting unit to the radiographic panel.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to pharmaceutical compositions and nutritional supplements that contain large amount of ginkgolides, particularly ginkgolide A or B, and for which, the other components normally found in Ginkgo biloba extracts have been removed. The compositions may be administered to women to prevent or treat ovarian cancer, particularly non-mucinous ovarian cancer.
Abstract:
A medical table wherein a top board on which a patient is placed is supported by a base having an internal instrument so as to be movable parallel to the board surface, the medical table includes a detecting device that detects the possibility that a hand or fingers, which grip the top board, come in contact with the internal instrument during the movement of the top board or internal instrument, and a preventing device that prevents the movement of the top board or the internal instrument on the basis of a detection signal of the detecting device
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to methods of identifying women at increased risk of having ovarian cancer. Identification is based upon the extent to which biological samples derived from the women exhibit elevated levels of eosinophil-derived neurotoxin (EDN).
Abstract:
N-Heterocyclic derivatives of the formula (I): are described herein, as well as other N-heterocycles, as inhibitors of nitric oxide synthase. Pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds, methods of using these compounds as inhibitors of nitric oxide synthase and processes for synthesizing these compounds are also described herein.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method, a device and/or a system of a lights-guided piano key learning and teaching device. In one aspect, a piano teaching apparatus includes an elongated enclosure overlaid atop a portion of a set of keys of a piano and a set of lights, each light corresponding with each key of the set of keys respectively. A depth of an underside of the elongated enclosure permits the set of keys to be played in an unobstructed manner. The set of light illuminates when an application of a data processing system communicatively coupled with the piano teaching apparatus communicates a set of instructions synchronized with a musical note of a compilation displayed on the application of the data processing device. The musical note corresponds with a particular light that is directly above a particular key of the set of keys associated with the musical note.
