    Abstract: A hydraulic power unit includes a reservoir containing hydraulic fluid, a main output, a pressure sensor, at least one active valve hydraulic pump and at least one passive valve hydraulic pump. A main flow of the hydraulic fluid is discharged through the main output. The pressure sensor includes a pressure signal that is indicative of a pressure of the main flow. Each active valve hydraulic pump is configured to drive a first flow portion of the main flow from the reservoir to the main output when the pressure signal is below a first pressure setpoint. Each passive valve hydraulic pump is configured to drive a second flow portion of the main flow from the reservoir to the main output when the pressure signal is below a second pressure setpoint.

    Abstract: A high purity control valve for use in high conductance, proportional control applications includes a moveable control plate having a flow-through passage to enhance fluid sweep of the internal valve volume. Nested orifice ridges are used to achieve high conductance with small actuator movement. Enhanced leak tightness can be provided by incorporating into the control plate materials softer than the material comprising the orifice ridge. The control plate comprises a control plate body having a counterbore in fluid communication with a conduit, radial fluid flow paths and axial fluid flow paths. A flat side of the control plate includes a continuous uninterrupted flat portion to shut-off fluid flow in the valve. The radial fluid flow paths provide fluid communication from the counterbore to a circumferential perimeter of the control plate and the axial fluid flow paths provide fluid communication with the fluid conduit through an intermediate valve chamber portion.

    Abstract: Disclosed power systems include an engine configured to output mechanical power via an engine shaft, a generator, and a fan. The generator includes a rotor shaft coupled to a rotor assembly and is configured to be coupled to the engine shaft via a threaded connection. One of the engine shaft or the rotor shaft includes an outer diameter thread and the other of the engine shaft or the rotor shaft comprises an inner diameter thread to form the threaded connection. The fan includes a first aperture configured to receive one of the engine shaft or the rotor shaft. The threaded connection is configured to axially compress the fan between the one of the engine shaft and the rotor shaft having the inner diameter threads of the threaded connection and an abutting surface on the one of the engine shaft or the rotor shaft having the outer diameter threads of the threaded connection, such that the fan rotates to generate an airflow through the generator when the engine shaft turns the rotor shaft.

    Abstract: A contact tip assembly with a preheating tip comprises a welding-type power source configured to provide welding-type current to a welding-type circuit, the welding-type circuit comprising a welding-type electrode and a first contact tip of a welding torch; an electrode preheating circuit configured to provide preheating current through a first portion of the electrode via a second contact tip of the welding torch; and a preheat controller to: monitor a voltage drop across a second portion of the electrode; adjust at least one of the welding-type current or the preheating current based on the voltage drop, the second portion of the electrode comprising at least part of the first portion of the electrode; and control the preheating current based on a hydrogen reduction goal and based on stored parameters associated with a type of the electrode, a chemistry of the electrode, or a wire size.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a button assembly, comprising a pressing portion (101), a housing (102) and a connecting portion (103). The housing (102) comprises a tubular side wall (308), the side wall (308) having a first end (381) and a second end (382), and the first end (381) having a first opening (315). The connecting portion (103) is arranged between the pressing portion (101) and the housing (102), and the connecting portion (103) is connected to the pressing portion (101) and the first end (381) of the side wall (308) in a sealed manner, such that the pressing portion (101) and the connecting portion (103) cover the first opening (315). The connecting portion (103) is made of an elastic material, such that the pressing portion (101) is movable relative to the housing (102). The button assembly of the present disclosure has a good waterproof performance.

    Abstract: Disclosed are welding systems and methods for conducting a completed circuit testing process. The welding system includes a power source to deliver power via one or more power outlets. Control circuitry receives an input to initiate a welding process and to command the power source to deliver a power signal with a current below a threshold level. The control circuitry monitors characteristics of the power signal at the one or more power outlets and determines whether a completed circuit condition exists. The control circuitry performs this determination based on information obtained through monitoring the characteristics of the power signal. The control circuitry controls the power source to prevent delivery of power if a completed circuit condition exists.
