Abstract: A method for manufacturing an implantable device is provided. The method includes laser nano-texturing a titanium surface. The method further includes applying an aqueous silver ion solution to form a silver ion complex on the nano-textured titanium surface. The method also includes reducing, using laser-assisted photocatalytic reduction, the silver ion complex to silver ion particles which are immobilized on the nano-textured titanium surface.

Abstract: Composite electrodes, supercapacitors equipped therewith, ternary materials for composite electrodes, and related methods. Such a composite electrode has a composite CNT-ZIF structure formed of a conductive network of carbon nanotubes (CNT) and a zeolitic imidazole framework (ZIF) coating covering the conductive network. A layer of molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) structures having flower-like morphologies is disposed on the composite CNT-ZIF structure. The MoS2 structures have pores that provide diffusion paths for ions to and/or from the ZIF coating and/or the conductive network of CNT.

Abstract: A software architecture where the software architecture processes a method, wherein the method includes defining initial conditions for a set of Büttiker probes. The set of Büttiker probes include various interaction equations between one or several many-body systems. The method includes computing properties of particles with quantum transport methods. A quantum transport method of the quantum transport methods include a set of Büttiker probes. The particles include the particles of one or several many-body systems. Further, the method includes calculating a current for each Büttiker probe of the set of Büttiker probes. The current includes at least one of momentum current, particle current, energy current, spin current, color charge or chirality current. The method includes setting up a set of continuity equations such that for each continuity equation a calculated current of a Büttiker probe is in a particular relation with an another calculated current of an another Büttiker probe.

Also provided is a system for training a lexicon of a natural language processing system, comprising receiving a data set containing a corpus of absolute paths driven by a vehicle annotated with natural language descriptions of the absolute paths using a processor, and determining parameters of the lexicon based on the data set.

Abstract: A device includes a contact lens, a corneal sensor that includes a circular trace of conduction paths located at or near an outer peripheral edge of the contact lens that surrounds an unobstructed area at a center region of the contact lens, and a connection wire coupled to the corneal sensor and configured to electrically couple to an external data acquisition system. Methods of fabricating the device may include providing a thin device that includes a sensor and a connection wire coupled to the sensor, transferring the sensor to a curvilinear inner surface of a contact lens, feeding the connection wire through the inner surface of the contact lens and out of an outer surface of the contact lens, and performing electrochemical polymerization of a conducting polymer material over the sensor to anchor the sensor to the inner surface of the contact lens.
