Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for detecting a foreign object on a wireless power charging region are described. A circuit can detect an object inductively coupled to a wireless power transmitter. The circuit can further measure an input parameter prior to a power transfer stage, the input parameter can be one of an input current and an input power. The circuit can further compare the measured input parameter with a predetermined value. The circuit can further determine whether the object is a foreign object or the wireless power receiver based on a result of the comparison between the measured input parameter with the predetermined value.

In addition, various exemplary embodiments are directed to devices including a processor, a control sensor operatively coupled to the processor and operable to obtain an input sample magnitude, an input filter operatively coupled to the processor and operable to filter the at least one obtained input magnitude sample, a non-transitory computer-readable medium operatively coupled to the processor and including a rate engine operable to generate a sample-to-sample difference based on the filtered input sample magnitude, and to generate a determination that the sample-to-sample difference satisfies a rate threshold, and a control actuator operatively coupled to the processor and operable to engage an operation mechanism in accordance with the determination that the sample-to-sample difference satisfies a rate threshold.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for controlling an apparatus comprising a controller integrated in a first slave device. In an example, the controller can detect a sensed current of the first slave device. The controller can receive a voltage signal associated with a second slave device connected to the first slave device. The controller can generate a correction current based on the sensed current of the first slave device and the voltage signal. The controller can modulate a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal received by the first slave device using the correction current. The controller can control a power converter using the modulated PWM signal.

The switch and the high-side switching element may be configured to be driven by the voltage outputted by power supply. The controller may be configured to control the power being outputted by the transmission unit.

An input to the algorithm may include voltage data associated with the voltage generated at the sensor coil.
