Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a master node associated with a primary cell, a configuration for a conditional procedure for adding or changing a primary secondary cell (PSCell) associated with a secondary node. The UE may also receive, from the master node, a configuration for a handover procedure for the primary cell. The UE may transmit a report that includes information related to the conditional PSCell procedure, information related to the primary secondary cell, or both, based on a triggering order between the conditional PSCell procedure and the handover procedure.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support monitoring for paging messages from a base station (e.g., a cellular network node) using a greater periodicity than a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle periodicity. A UE may monitor for and receive paging messages from a network node using a first subscription registered with a first radio access technology (RAT) while operating in DRX mode for a second RAT associated with the base station. The UE may identify a first periodicity for monitoring for paging messages from the base station that is greater than the DRX periodicity. The UE may have a second subscription that may be registered with a second base station. The UE may perform a tuneaway procedure from the second base station and monitor for paging messages from the base station according to the first periodicity.

The UE or the core network may initiate the configuration. For example, the UE may request to be configured with a machine learning model. The core network may send control signaling indicating a configuration for the machine learning model to the UE. The UE may perform analytics based on the machine learning model.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to enhanced load reporting between network entities (e.g., provided by a distributed unit (DU) to a centralized unit (CU) or by a CU to another CU). In some examples, the CU may provide one or more triggering events which may be used by the DU (or a second CU) to trigger the provisioning of a load report to the CU. Accordingly, the DU (or second CU) may be able to initiate a load report without relying on periodic reporting criteria. In some examples, the DU may initiate a load report to the CU without being configured with triggering events. In some examples, a DU may report measurements made associated with a communications load involving communications with both a parent network entity (e.g., a CU) and at least one child network entity (e.g., a user equipment).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described, in which a base station may determine a load balancing adjustment for traffic communicated through the base station. The load balancing adjustment may be provided at a beam level for one or more beams of a plurality of beams, at a network slice level for one or more network slice IDs of a number of network slice IDs, or combinations thereof. The base station may use the load balancing adjustment to identify one or more updated parameters for triggering a handover of at least one user equipment (UE) between beams or slice IDs of a same cell or different cells. The base station may format a mobility change request that indicates the one or more parameters that are updated, and transmit the mobility change request to another base station to establish parameters for handovers between the base stations.
