Abstract: A system for agitating manure includes a vessel shaped to be placed in a manure storage installation. The vessel includes a vessel frame having floatation for providing floatation to the vessel, at least one outlet nozzle attached to the vessel frame for agitating the manure, and a control system attached to the vessel frame for controlling the direction of the at least one outlet nozzle. The system includes a land based power source separated from the vessel having a fluid pump for pumping fluid from a land based input nozzle to supply fluid to the at least one outlet nozzle on the vessel. The system includes a fluid conduit connecting the land based power source to the at least one outlet nozzle and a remote control for user control of the control system of the vessel.

The system comprises a floccule accumulation station in which the building of floccules in the water/coagulant mixture is promoted. The system comprises a settlement station in which the floccules are allowed to settle. The mixing station, floccule accumulation station and settlement station comprise one or more reservoirs, wherein at least one of the one or more reservoirs is an intermediate bulk container.

Abstract: An apparatus for harvesting algae from an open body of water includes a boat having a pair of spaced apart parallel flotation members and a deck disposed on and connected to the members. The spaced apart members define an area therebetween forming a process channel. A separating mechanism disposed on the boat separates the process channel into a plurality of process channel sections arranged in series. The process channel sections are disposed intermediate the flotation members. Each of the process channel sections include a deflector plate, a scum beach, a scum trough, and diffused air piping. The diffused air piping is in fluid communication with a dissolved air flotation system.

Abstract: Contaminants are removed from untreated raw water or discharge water by applying direct current through an array of spaced, alternately charged electrodes positioned within and electrically isolated from a housing to eliminate or minimize clogging of the electrodes with precipitated contaminants. The housing is surrounded with container structure that cooperates with the housing to define an inlet chamber positioned between the source of untreated water and the housing containing the spaced array of electrodes. The container structure further includes an outlet chamber defined between the housing and the container structure for accumulating and draining water treated by the spaced electrode array.

Abstract: A flowback water concentrating system, and method, include a liquid evaporator assembly that concentrates flowback water, a gas-liquid separator that separates entrained liquid from a gas exiting the liquid evaporator assembly, an exhaust assembly that vents exhaust gases, and a flowback water concentrating system that separates the concentrated flowback water into a supernatant liquid and a concentrated slurry. The flowback water concentrating system includes a settling tank fluidly connected to the gas-liquid separator and a supernatant liquid concentration sensor for measuring a concentration of dissolved solids in the supernatant liquid in the settling tank.

Abstract: A mobile water re-use system can include a chemical treatment apparatus, at least one weir tank in fluid communication with the chemical treatment apparatus, and two or more settling tanks in fluid communication with each other and at least one of the settling tanks in fluid communication with the weir tank. The weir tank can have a first end, a second end, an internal chamber, and a plurality of baffles that induce turbulent flow of fluid through the internal chamber. The settling tanks can provide, promote, facilitate, result in, and/or induce laminar flow of fluid through at least a portion of the internal chamber. Weir tanks, settling tanks, and method of treating flowback and produced water are also described.

Abstract: A system and method for the treatment of wastewater. In one aspect, the invention can be a method of treating wastewater comprising: a) introducing wastewater having a first turbidity level into a wastewater treatment system; b) injecting an aqueous polymer mixture into the wastewater to flocculate suspended solids within the wastewater; c) removing the flocculated suspended solids from the wastewater to form a treated water having a second turbidity, the second turbidity being lower than the first turbidity; and wherein the aqueous polymer mixture of step b) is formed by introducing a raw polymer into a re-circulated portion of the treated water.
