Abstract: An electric work vehicle includes an electric motor to drive a vehicle body to travel, a battery chargeable by an external power supply to supply driving electric power to the electric motor, a connection section to which a power supply connector of the power supply is connectable, a controller configured or programmed to control a charge state during charging by the power supply, and a temperature detector to detect a temperature of the battery. The controller is configured or programmed to execute a temperature increase control to warm the battery until the temperature of the battery increases to a target temperature prior to charging the battery, in response to the temperature of the battery detected by the temperature detector being not higher than a set temperature.

Abstract: A bus bar including a first end comprising a first material and a second end comprising a second material and a method of manufacture are provided. The first end is designed to be coupled to a terminal of a first battery cell of a battery module and includes a first collar disposed on the first end designed to receive and surround the terminal of the first battery cell of the battery module. The second end is designed to be coupled to a terminal of a second battery cell of the battery module and includes a second collar disposed on the second end designed to receive and surround the terminal of the second battery of the battery module. The first and second batteries of the battery module are adjacent to one another. Moreover, the bus bar includes a joint electrically and mechanically coupling the first end and the second end.

Abstract: A vehicle includes a vehicle cooling system for cooling a cabin and a battery system, each having a respective target operating range. The cooling system is configured to select among a cabin-only mode, battery-only mode, or a hybrid cooling mode for cooling the cabin and the battery system. In the hybrid mode, the system determines a desired pressure at an inlet of a compressor corresponding to a suction pressure of the compressor, to avoid cooling interruptions. The system generates a control signal based on the desired suction pressure, and applies the control signal to the compressor. Generating the control signal may include generating a feedforward signal the desired suction pressure, generating a feedback signal based on the suction pressure, or a combination thereof. For example, the use of hybrid mode based on suction pressure allows smoother response to targets with reduced delays in response in meeting the cooling demands.

Abstract: A thermal management system includes a first cooler that cools a first heat source, a first circulation path that connects the first cooler and a first pump, a second cooler that cools a second heat source, a second circulation path that connects the second cooler and a second pump, a changeover valve, and a controller. The changeover valve is switchable between first and second valve positions. The first and second circulation paths are separated from each other when the changeover valve is in the first valve position. The controller causes both the first and second pumps to operate when the temperature difference between refrigerants in the first and second circulation paths is more than a predetermined temperature difference threshold when the changeover valve is set to the first valve position and one of the first and second pumps is operating and the other is not operating.
