    Abstract: A process for hydrodesulfurizing an olefinic naphtha feedstock while retaining a substantial amount of the olefins, which feedstock has a T95 boiling point below 250° C. and contains at least 50 ppmw of organically bound sulfur and from 5% to 60% olefins, the process including hydrodesulfurizing the feedstock in a sulfur removal stage in the presence of a gas including hydrogen and a hydrodesulfurization catalyst, at hydrodesulfurization reaction conditions, to convert at least 60% of the organically bound sulfur to hydrogen sulfide and to produce a desulfurized product stream wherein the gas to oil ratio and the pressure are configured for the selectivity slope, (% HDS−% OSAT)/(% OSAT*(100−% HDS)), to be above 0.55, and to provide a lower octane loss at all severities above 60% HDS, compared to compared to all prior reported processes with similar conversion of organic sulfur with a lower gas to oil ratio, as measured by the selectivity slope.

    Abstract: A hydrogen plant for producing hydrogen, including: a reforming reactor system including a first catalyst bed including an electrically conductive material and a catalytically active material, a heat insulation layer between the first catalyst bed and the pressure shell, and at least two conductors electrically connected to the electrically conductive material and to an electrical power supply placed outside the pressure shell, wherein the electrical power supply is dimensioned to heat at least part of the first catalyst bed to a temperature of at least 500° C. by passing an electrical current through the electrically conductive material, where the pressure shell has a design pressure of between 5 and 200 bar; a water gas shift unit downstream the reforming reactor system; and a gas separation unit downstream the water gas shift unit.     Abstract: In a converter for the catalytic oxidation of SO2 to SO3 in a sulfuric acid plant, which comprises a boiler section for the cooling of process gas between catalytic layers (beds), one or more water tube boilers (inter-bed boilers) having horizontal or slightly sloped tubes are used to cool the process gas between the catalytic layers (beds) in the converter. Each water tube boiler is provided with a process gas side bypass to control the temperature to the downstream catalyst layer.
