Abstract: Techniques for determining a location of a client device using recursive phase vector subspace estimation are described. One technique includes receiving a plurality of angle-of-arrival (AoA) measurements from a plurality of access points (APs). Each AoA measurement includes a plurality of entries for phase values measured from a signal received from a client device at the plurality of APs. At least one AoA measurement of the plurality of AoA measurements that includes at least one of: (i) one or more entries with missing phase values and (ii) one or more entries with erroneous phase values is identified, based on a recursive phase estimation. The plurality of AoA measurements are updated based on the identified at least one AoA measurement. The location of the client device is determined, based on the updated plurality of AoA measurements.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a central controller controlling multiple radio heads (RHs) in a network. The central controller generates network information for the radio heads based on a probe request transmitted from a network device and received by one or more of the radio heads. The central controller calculates a respective metric value for each of the radio heads based on the network information. The metric value indicates a capability of a radio head to serve the network device. The central controller selects a subset of radio heads from the multiple radio heads to send a probe response to the network device based on the metric values.

Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a network device (e.g., an access point) that dynamically arranges multi-user (MU) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) compatible client devices into MU-MIMO groups. That is, the network device uses network metrics and historical data to change the assignment of client devices in the MU-MIMO groups which may improve MU-MIMO efficiency by reducing the amount of power that leaks between the clients devices in the group. In one embodiment, the AP identifies a MU-MIMO group based on a performance evaluation such as evaluating network metric or determining if the group is underutilized. The AP can replace the identified MU-MIMO group with a substitute MU-MIMO group where the substitute MU-MIMO group is selected based on historical data corresponding to the client devices assigned to the substitute MU-MIMO group.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes preemption techniques in wireless fidelity (WiFi) networks using full duplex. An apparatus includes a first radio, a second radio, a third radio, a memory, and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory. The processor, while transmitting first messages using the first radio, receives a first frame from a device using the second radio and in response to receiving the first frame, preemptively terminates transmitting the first messages using the first radio. The processor, after terminating transmitting the first messages using the first radio, receives second messages from the device using the third radio.

Abstract: Techniques for identifying ultra-wideband interferers in a wireless communication network are disclosed. These techniques include scanning a plurality of channels relating to a wireless communication network and generating one or more spectrograms based on the scanning. The techniques further include identifying an ultra-wideband interferer for the wireless communication network, using the one or more spectrograms, including: analyzing, using the one or more spectrograms, at least one of: (i) power variations relating one or more channels, (ii) power slopes between one or more pairs of channels, (iii) a power level for one or more channels, (iv) carrier leakage, or (v) a period of pulse transmissions.

Abstract: Techniques for improved peer-to-peer grouping in multi-link operations are provided. An indication of radio frequency (RF) capabilities of a peer-to-peer device is transmitted, and the peer-to-peer device receives a group ID assigned by a wireless access point (AP) based on the RF capabilities, where the group ID is associated with a set of links that can be used for peer-to-peer communications between peer-to-peer devices in a first group of peer-to-peer devices. The peer-to-peer device can request that the AP schedule a transmission opportunity for a first peer-to-peer communication using the group ID. In response to receiving a trigger frame comprising the group ID, the first peer-to-peer device performs the first peer-to-peer communication using the transmission opportunity.
