    Abstract: There is included a method and apparatus comprising computer code configured to cause a processor or processors to perform receiving video data in an AOMedia Video 1 (AV1) format comprising data of at least two chroma prediction-residual signal blocks, a transformation between at least one signal block, having a size less than or equal to a combination of the chroma prediction-residual signal blocks, and the chroma prediction-residual signal blocks, and decoding the video data based on an output of the transformation comprising the at least one signal block having the size less than or equal to the combination of the chroma prediction-residual blocks.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include methods, apparatuses, and non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums for video encoding/decoding. An apparatus includes processing circuitry that decodes a video bitstream to obtain a reduced-resolution residual block for a current block. The processing circuitry determines that a block level flag is set to a pre-defined value. The pre-defined value indicates that the current block is coded in reduced-resolution coding. Based on the block level flag, the processing circuitry generates a reduced-resolution prediction block for the current block by down-sampling a full-resolution reference block of the current block. The processing circuitry generates a reduced-resolution reconstruction block for the current block based on the reduced-resolution prediction block and the reduced-resolution residual block. The processing circuitry generates a full-resolution reconstruction block for the current block by up-sampling the reduced-resolution reconstruction block.

An apparatus includes processing circuitry that determines directionality information of a restoration filter unit included in a video frame based on at least one of a constrained directional enhancement filter (CDEF) process or an intra prediction mode. The processing circuitry determines one of a plurality of sets of filter parameters of a restoration filter process based on the directionality information of the restoration filter unit. The processing circuitry performs the restoration filter process on the restoration filter unit based on the one of the plurality of sets of filter parameters. The processing circuitry reconstructs the video frame based on the filtered restoration filter unit.

    Abstract: A method of point cloud geometry decoding in a point cloud decoder is provided. In the method, first signaling information is received from a coded bitstream for a point cloud that includes a set of points in a three-dimensional (3D) space. The first signaling information indicates partition information of the point cloud. Second signaling information is determined based on the first signaling information indicating a first value. The second signaling information is indicative of a partition mode of the set of points in the 3D space. Further, the partition mode of the set of points in the 3D space is determined based on the second signaling information. The point cloud is reconstructed subsequently based on the partition mode.

    Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for point cloud coefficient coding are provided. Transform coefficients associated with point cloud data are decomposed into set-index values and symbol-index values, the symbol index-value specifying location of the transform coefficient within a set. The decomposed transform coefficients are partitioned into one or more sets based on the set-index values and the symbol-index values. The set-index values of the partitioned transform coefficients are entropy-coded, and the symbol-index values of the partitioned transform coefficients are bypass-coded. The point cloud data is compressed based on the entropy-coded symbol-index values and the bypass-coded set-index values.
