Abstract:
An embodiment of an apparatus for extracting excess liquid in a human body spray system includes a spray booth defining a booth volume. The spray booth includes a base configured to support the human body and a column having walls extending vertically from the base and at least one vent opening disposed on a bottom half portion of the column on at least one of the walls. The walls form a hollow interior of the column. The apparatus for extracting excess liquid in a human body spray system further includes an extraction fan disposed within the hollow interior adjacent to a top half portion of the column and configured to create a low pressure volume within the hollow interior and draw air flow and at least some of the excess mist from the booth volume through the at least one vent opening.
Abstract:
An exhaust system for capturing overspray from conventional paint spray guns and aerosol paint spray cans that including a vacuum hose that is directly interconnected with the paint spray device being used and is strategically positioned in close proximity to the spray nozzle of the paint spray device. In one form of the invention a conventional household-type vacuum cleaner has the vacuum source.
Abstract:
A method for introducing a polymerization catalyst into a coating formulation as the formulation flows from a reservoir includes the steps of: opening the first end of a sealed dispenser holding a predetermined volume of a polymerization catalyst solution and inserting the dispenser into the reservoir such that the open end of the dispenser is positioned near the outlet of the reservoir; with the dispenser so positioned, opening the second end of the dispenser to atmosphere. The head of the liquid coating formulation in the reservoir prevents flow of the catalyst solution from the dispenser until the liquid coating formulation flows from the reservoir into the flow channel. Thus, the catalyst solution mixes with the coating formulation in a way that a predetermined concentration of the catalyst solution is maintained in the coating formulation as the coating formulation flows from the reservoir.
Abstract:
A dispenser for dispensing a polymerization catalyst solution into a liquid coating formulation has a cross sectional area “a” given by the relationship: a≅P·A·[W/w]·10−6, where “A” is the cross sectional area of the reservoir holding a liquid coating formulation having “W” weight percent of solids; “w” is the weight percent of catalyst in the dispenser; and P is the ratio by weight of the catalyst to the solids desired in the finished coating, in parts per million.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for increasing the distance reached by the spray from a spray gun include the use of a trigger (200) having a first grasping position (220) and a second grasping position (230) are described. The trigger (200) attaches to a gun body (250) that is mounted to a handle (255). The trigger (200) includes a bend (240) that connects the first grasping position (220) to a second grasping position (230) and allows the trigger (200) to be squeezed proximately close to a handle (255) without interference with a hand rest (265) of the handle (255).
Abstract:
A spray gun with pressure display for applying paint onto a painted object by atomizing the paint with compressed air, wherein, as a pressure indicating device capable of accurately indicating a pressure at hand where the spray gun is operated, a digitally displayed pressure indication module having a pressure sensor (25), a pressure transducer part (24), and a display part (27) unitized with each other is detachably installed on a spray gun body, and adopters (21, 22) without a pressure indication function are detachably fitted to tie spray gun body according to the shape of a body grip part so that the presence or absence of the pressure indication function can be selected before use, whereby the spray gun can be used under controlled conditions by allowing a worker to detect an air pressure at hand during spraying operation since the spraying air pressure largely affects paint finish as well as dispersion of atomized paint.
Abstract:
A standing device for a spray gun includes a clamping device a clamping device adapted to clamp a neck portion of the spray gun and including a first block and a second block abutting each other to form a clamping space adapted to receive the neck portion of the spray gun. A support rack pivotally connected to the clamping device. The support rack is made of a wire material by integral bending such that the support rack providing an elasticity to make the first block and the second block abutting each other.
Abstract:
An air spray device includes a barrel with a passage therein, a valve body disposed in the passage and actuated to move to permit fluid communication between an inlet and an outlet of the passage, spray tube with a first tube portion connected to the outlet, and a second tube portion telescopically fitted in the first tube portion, and a nozzle portion which is disposed outwardly of the second tube portion to generate a compressed air stream for removing dust from an object. Retaining members are disposed in the spray tube for retaining the spray tube in one of stretched and retracted positions. By the telescopic spray tube, the dust to be removed will not fly over the user, and the air spray device is convenient to store.
Abstract:
An adjustable air pressure valve for placement in a compressed air hose. Positioning a knob determines the pressure exerted by a spring on a valve member which allows air above a predetermined pressure to escape from the hose to the atmosphere. The knob is incrementally moveable to provide incremental pressure changes.
