Abstract:
A hot melt dispensing system includes a hot melt tank having a tank outlet, a flow passage extending from the tank outlet, and a check valve. The flow passage has a first end and a second end. The first end is adjacent the tank outlet. The check valve is positioned at the first end of the flow passage.
Abstract:
A first pressure generating chamber, which is sealed by a first elastic plate mounted with a first piezoelectric element at one surface, and a second pressure generating chamber, which is sealed by a second elastic plate mounted with a second piezoelectric element at one surface are formed in a casing. The second pressure generating chamber is formed with an opening which is a discharge port. A mixture is discharged from the discharge port. A nozzle formed with an opening jets gas toward a substrate surface, and is provided in the vicinity of the discharge port of the ink head.
Abstract:
A metering system for a coating installation for coating components such as vehicle body parts contains an applicator which applies the coating material supplied to it with a volumetric flow metered on-demand, a regulated first metering device which adjusts the pressure or the volumetric flow of the coating material to be applied by the applicator based on setpoints which are specified by automated installation controls, a transducer to generate a reading which matches the pressure or the volumetric flow of the coating material flowing to the applicator and a control device for regulating the metering device as a function of the specified setpoints and of the reading from the transducer. A second metering device is connected at the outlet of the regulated first metering device for the coating material flowing to the applicator which controls the pressure or volumetric flow of the said applied coating material for precision metering of the coating material applied as a function of the specified setpoints.
Abstract:
A varnishing device and a procedure for the application of varnish with such a varnishing device, wherein the varnishing device has a varnish repository, a dosing pump connected with the varnish repository, a varnish output device which is connected to the dosing pump via a hose line, and a control device which acts on the dosing pump. A volume compensation device is connected to the hose line having a compensation volume which is connected to the interior of the hose line. The compensation volume can be changed through an externally acting pressure.

Abstract:
A liquid material supply system includes a plunger pump, a flow regulating valve, an air-operated valve, a spring type accumulator and a dispenser. The plunger pump is connected to the flow regulating valve by a primary supply line. The flow regulating valve is connected to the dispenser by a secondary supply line. The on-off valve is connected to the secondary supply line. The accumulator is connected to the secondary supply line between the on-off valve and the dispenser. A pressure sensor detects the pressure substantially at the inlet port of the dispenser. This pressure is the basic for controlling the operation of the air-operated valve through an electromagnetic valve. The second chamber of the accumulator can store part of the liquid material supplied through the secondary supply line. The second chamber varies in volume with the balance between the force of the accumulator spring and the pressure in the secondary supply line so as to relax the pressure fluctuation in this line.
Abstract:
The intermittent coating apparatus which includes a nozzle 1 which applies a paint 6 to a base material, a feeding side two-way valve 10 which repeats feeding of the paint 6 to the nozzle 1 and stop of the feeding, a return side two-way valve which 11 repeats discharge of the paint 6 to a return side and stop of the discharge, a paint flow path 12, means to feed the paint 6 into the flow path 12, and paint returning means 5 which repeats suction and return of the paint 6 out of and into the nozzle 1, and is characterized in that switching of the feeding side two-way valve 10 is carried out earlier than that of the return side two-way valve 11 within a range not shorter than 5 msec and not longer than 100 msec at least at a coating start time.
Abstract:
A system for extruding or spraying high molecular weight thermal-cure thixotropic material, such as structural epoxy, includes apparatus for supplying the material at constant flow rate and heating the material to elevated temperature above ambient. An extrusion nozzle has an inlet manifold in which flow of heated material is divided into a least two parallel flow paths. An extrusion head includes a cavity having a dimension perpendicular to the paths and into which the flow paths open at one longitudinal edge of the cavity. Side and end walls of the cavity taper narrowingly in the opposite direction to a rectangular orifice extending along the inlet-remote edge of the cavity. A spray nozzle includes a inlet manifold having a ball-type valve at its outlet for imparting shear stresses to thixotropes in the material exiting the manifold outlet, and thereby reducing material viscosity during passage through a transition chamber which extends from the valve to a spray tip. The length of the transition chamber in the direction of material flow is sufficient to permit activated thixotropes in the material to decrease viscosity sufficiently for airless spraying at the spray tip.
