    Abstract: In some examples, an apparatus for video decoding includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry determines, from a candidate list, a first affine-translational merge candidate for a prediction of a current block in a current picture. The first affine-translational merge candidate provides affine motion information associated with a first reference picture in a first reference list and translational motion information associated with a second reference picture in a second reference list. The processing circuitry generates a first prediction for a sample in the current block according to the affine motion information associated with the first reference picture, and generates a second prediction for the sample in the current block according to the translational motion information associated with the second reference picture. The processing circuitry reconstructs the sample of the current block according to a combination of the first prediction and the second prediction.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates encoding and decoding of motion vector difference for inter-predicting a video block. The method includes receiving a coded video bitstream; extracting, from the coded video bitstream, a flag indicating whether an inter-predication mode is a JOINT_NEWMV mode for a current block in a current frame, wherein the JOINT_NEWMV mode indicates that a first delta motion vector (MV) for a first reference frame from a reference list 0 and a second delta MV for a second reference frame from a reference list 1 are jointly signaled; in response to the flag indicating that the inter-predication mode is the JOINT_NEWMV mode: extracting a joint delta motion vector (MV) for the current block, and deriving the first delta MV and the second delta MV based on the joint delta MV; and decoding the current block based on the first delta MV and the second delta MV.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to video coding and particularly to cross component level reconstruction. For example, a method is disclosed for processing video data which may include extracting a first transform block of a first color component and a second transform block of a second color component from a bitstream of a video block; determining that transform coefficients in the first transform block are all zero; determining that a CCLR is applied to the first transform block; refining one or more of the transform coefficients in the first transform block, to obtain a refined first transform block; determining a target transform kernel for the refined first transform block; performing a reverse transform on the refined first transform block based on the target transform kernel to obtain a target block; and reconstructing the first color component of the video block based on at least the target block.
