Abstract:
A connector provided in a lower middle part of a battery pack, is protected from moisture in a reliable manner while simplifying the installing and removing of the battery pack. A vertical wall of the battery pack is formed with an arch-shaped ridge having a higher middle part and a pair of lower lateral end parts. A battery pack receiving recess is provided with a vertical wall opposing the vertical wall of the battery pack, and a pair of through holes on either lower end thereof. The vertical wall of the battery pack receiving recess is formed with an arch-shaped groove configured to receive the arch-shaped ridge of the battery pack. Moisture that may be deposited on the vertical wall surfaces is trapped by a water channel defined by the groove and the ridge, and drained from the battery pack receiving recess via the through holes.
Abstract:
A traction bed includes a frame upon which an individual is supportable, first and second lever arms pivotably coupled to the frame at a location proximate a first end of the frame and configured to be coupled to the individual's upper torso, third and fourth lever arms pivotably coupled to the frame at a location proximate a second end of the frame and configured to be coupled to the individual's pelvis or pelvic region, and a control system operable to direct a force onto each of the lever arms to pivot the lever arms relative to the frame. The force directed to the first and third lever arms is separately variable from the force directed to the second and fourth lever arms to provide differential traction on the individual's body.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an overhead support apparatus for assisting a user while performing rehabilitation physical activities and includes a track assembly supported by the ceiling and a suspension device that depends from the track assembly and is attached to the user so that the apparatus acts to prevent the user from falling down during physical activities. The suspension assembly includes a trolley adapted to traverse the track assembly, a locking snap assembly attached to the trolley and associated with a swivel, and an adjustable lanyard that is connected to the swivel at one end and to a body harness at its opposite end, which body harness has straps for encircling the torso and legs of a user.
Abstract:
A system provides compression of a limb of a patient and out-of-axis restraint of a joint of the limb being compressed and application of vibration to a first end of the limb so that the vibration is transmitted through the first end of the limb, the compressed joint, and through the remainder of the limb.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a leg-stretching exercise apparatus comprising a base, a handle connected to the base about a front vertical member assembly extending from the front thereof, a waist belt extending from a rear vertical member extending from the rear of the base, and a pair of generally horizontal track assemblies extending collinearly from either side of the base. Each track assembly comprises at least one rail pipe extending between a pair of proximal and distal blocks, a foot-supporting platform coupled to the at least one rail pipe such that the platform can slide along the length thereof, and a resilient member connecting the platform to the proximal block.
Abstract:
A sit down and stand up walker for assisting a user during walking and when not walking in a standing, partially standing or sitting positions with partial or full weight bearing support and with means to change from standing, partially standing to sitting positions with partial weight bearing support to a fixed elevation with full weight bearing support in any varied or repeated sequence. The partial or full weight bearing means supports a seat assembly which includes a seat and front body support with adjustable positioning to provide pelvic stability. The angle of the seat assembly relative to a flat ground surface is maintained at any elevation of the seat assembly between a standing and sitting position. The weight bearing means is responsive to the variable force supplied by the user as the user walks, stands or sits allowing the seat assembly to move up or down. The weight bearing means in a preferred embodiment is an enclosed gas spring cylinder with piston rod that can be locked at differing elevations or released to respond to a user's body force as the user walks, stands or sits. The walker is intended to be moved without the user's hands holding onto the frame thereby promoting a normal gait and posture. The walker enables the user to expend less energy as the body's center of gravity with partial or full weight bearing support rises and falls with each stride. The walker facilitates transfers from a sitting to standing positions and vice versa by the user independently without the intervention of caregivers.

Abstract:
A system and device to sculpt an individual's body. The system and device are capable of selectively burning adipose tissue located in a user's abdomen, waist, thigh, arms, etc., and of generating vibration to produce heat from friction such that blood circulation can be enhanced. The device to sculpt the body includes a body sculpture holder, attached to the user's body, to generate an ultrasonic frequency, an intermediate frequency, and a low frequency, a portable body electrically connected to the sculpture holder, and a fixed body on to which the portable body is fixed.
Abstract:
A condom may include pouch having a wall and a frame. The pouch may have an open end and a closed end and the frame may be positioned proximate the open end. An anchoring device may be secured to the pouch proximate the closed end. Further, a harness or accessory attachment may be provided to assist in securing the condom to a user. At least one condom accessory, for stimulating at least one of the five senses, may also be positioned on or in at least one of the pouch, frame, anchor or harness using a variety of attachment methods.
Abstract:
A personal mobility device comprising an open frame having a front structure, a rear structure, and a side structure. The side structure has an upper rail and a lower rail coupleable to the front structure and the rear structure. In one embodiment, a main mobility wheel is coupled to the side structure, and a knee rest is rotatably coupled to the front structure. The knee rest is adjustable from a first substantially-vertical position coupled to the front structure to a second rearwardly and downwardly-angled position from the front structure.
