Abstract: A spin-on filter that eliminates the use of a nut plate and reduces the number of separate components. Instead, the spin-on filter utilizes the end plate of the filtercartridge to perform a number of functions, including closing the open end of the filter shell, sealing between the dirty and clean fluid sides, sealing between the filter and the mounting head to prevent leakage outside the filter to environment, attaching the filter cartridge to the shell, and sealing the end of the filter media.

Abstract: One aspect of the disclosure provides a filter element including a first end cap, a second end cap, a ring of filter media and an annular seal. The first end cap defines a cylindrical collar that circumscribes a first central opening and includes a substantially planar first outer surface that extends radially outward from the cylindrical collar to an outer peripheral edge. The second end cap defines a second central opening substantially coaxial with the first central opening. The ring of filter media is disposed between the first end cap and the second end cap, and circumscribes a central cavity in fluid communication with the first central opening and the second central opening. The annular seal is disposed upon the first outer surface of the first end cap and around the cylindrical collar. The annular seal extends axially way from the first outer surface.

Abstract: The filter assembly includes a threadless closure system for sealing a filter element of the filter assembly within a bowl of the filter assembly. The bowl is fluidly connectable to opposing fluid transfer passages. The filter element and a cover element connected to the filter element are received into the bowl. The filter element is retained in the bowl via a pin of the filter assembly that engages the cover element. The filter element may be removed and replaced without the unscrewing of threads exposed to an external environment external to the filter assembly during typical use of the filter assembly.

Abstract: Filter and replaceable filter leaf apparatus are provided. The filter includes a housing defining a cavity having fluid inlet and outlet ports and a lid member with a manifold coupled to the outlet port and being adapted to conduct a fluid flow between the outlet port and a plurality of attachment areas. Abstract: A filter element that is provided with automatic air bleeding features to efficiently bleed air from a fuel filter module containing the filter element. The filter element has an upper end cap with one or two air vents. One of the vents provides a bypass for air through wet filter media through which air from the fuel supply may not be able to pass through easily. The inner air vent is located on the inside of a circle formed by attachment clips that attach the respective filter element to a removable cover. The inner air vent allows for air inside the filter module to be easily purged out via a drain hole on the fuel filter module, while providing resistance to fuel. The drain hole is provided on the filter module which is internally connected to the fuel outlet and therefore to the fuel tank.
