Abstract:
The present invention relates to Intelligent Networks and, more particularly, to information recording sessions in Intelligent Networks, a method for enabling control capabilities for information recording session with a user in an Intelligent Network, the network comprises a Media Gateway Controller, a Service Control Point and a Media Server. The Service Control Point sends the control capabilities to the Media Gateway Controller and the Media Gateway Controller maps the control capabilities to a control information message. The Media Gateway Controller sends the control information message to the Media Server and the Media Server controls the information recording session based on the control capabilities present in the control information message.
Abstract:
A call handling system receives an asynchronous call request, from a call requester, requesting performance of an operation, where the call request includes a delay parameter specified by the call requester. The call handling system performs the requested operation, and sends a callback to the call requester, which includes partial results from performance of the requested operation, at selected intervals determined by the delay parameter.
Abstract:
A method for performing a communication function after a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card is withdrawn from a wireless terminal is provided. The method includes, if the SIM card is inserted into the wireless terminal, copying information stored in the SIM card into a memory of the wireless terminal; and if the SIM card is withdrawn, performing the communication function by using the information of the SIM card, copied into the memory of the wireless terminal, during a predetermined time.
Abstract:
A system for causing the simultaneous, or near simultaneous, receipt by multiple pre-identified communication termination endpoints of electronic messages sent at times respectively delayed relative to one another and inviting each of the communication termination endpoints to join a communication session. The system receives identification of associated communication termination endpoints that are to receive, at substantially the same time, electronic messages to join a communication session. The system determines and stores send time delays for each such communication termination endpoint that are calculated by a respectively appropriate method. Thereafter, when an electronic message is received requesting initiation of a communication session with one of the communication termination endpoints, the system uses the send time delays to respectively delay by an appropriate amount of time the sending of electronic invite messages to join the communication session to each of the communication termination endpoints.
Abstract:
A working skill estimating program is provided for estimating working skills of each agent in the state of separating a disturbance factor from response records (incidents). A large category classifier is supplied with the incidents within a predetermined time and classifies the incidents according to classification rules, for creating the topic-classified incidents. A small category generator collects the analogous incidents for each task type of the topic-classified incidents and generates a small category. A disturbance distinguisher distinguishes if the incidents belonging to each small category are common response records that appear regularly over time or disturbances whose frequency exhibits a significant time dependency. Then, a skill estimator estimates the working skills of each agent for each task type by using only common incidents determined as the common information.
Abstract:
A system and method for handling calls at one or more call centers. In an exemplary method of the invention, it may be determined whether a call should be transferred from the VSS to an agent of a call center based on, for example, agent availability or queue wait times. When it is determined to transfer the call to the agent, it may be determined whether a callback call should be offered to the caller. When it is determined to offer the callback call, the method may include providing one or more time blocks to which the caller can initiate the callback call to receive higher priority routing. Upon calling back into the system within one of the time blocks, the call may receive preferential routing treatment.
Abstract:
In one method and apparatus for blocking unwanted calls in a callback system, parameters associated with a callback request (e.g., the user device to which the call is to be directed, the IP address from which the request originated or an identifier of the source computer from which the callback request originated, the party from whom the call is requested) are tracked for each call. A decision to automatically block the requested callback is made based on one or more criteria based on a combination of these parameters, which may be a total over a period of time. In a second method, one or both of the parties to the callback is queried as to whether the callback is unwanted and, if so, one or more parameters associated with the request are blacklisted.
Abstract:
An approach is provided for placing a real-time communication session (e.g., a voice call or a video call) on hold before the called party answers the call. After receiving a communication session request, the communication session is placed on hold until a predetermined time period expires, the called party answers the communication session, or the calling party elects to be directed to an answering service.
Abstract:
A communication control device executes a call-out process of calling out a recipient telephone device while specifying an importance level via a telephone network in response to a request from a transmitter telephone device. A recipient received a call operates a mobile communication terminal after a telephone call ends, accesses an information providing server via a wireless LAN access point and the Internet, and inputs information evaluating whether or not an importance level specified for the received call is appropriate. The information providing server provides the input evaluation information to a storage device. The communication control device determines whether or not to execute a call-out process based on the evaluation information stored in the storage device when there is a call-out request from a transmitter.
Abstract:
A time authentication system provided can detect an alteration of the case, in which either of the speakers of a conversation makes the alteration, and can verify, in the case of no alteration, that a conversation voice has occurred at a time within a range. When a speaker #1 terminal (2) and a speaker #2 terminal (3), i.e., all the speakers of the conversation request a time authentication station server (1) for the issue of a unique background sound which is difficult for those other than the time authentication station server (1) to estimate beforehand, the time authentication station server (1) issues the background sound and an electronic verification, which is electronically signed by adding a time stamp to the hash of the background sound, to the speaker #1 terminal (2) and the speaker #2 terminal (3). All the speakers of the conversation start the record of the conversation voice containing the background sound of all the speakers of the conversation, by using the speaker #1 terminal (2) and the speaker #2 terminal (3), mix and transmit their own voices while reproducing the background sound, end the record of the speech voice, and store the voice data.
