Abstract:
An image processing system includes a scanner device that scans an original document and obtains scanned data, a printer device that prints out image data and a personal computer. An interface establishes a Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection between the personal computer and the scanner device with the personal computer acting as a host terminal and the scanner device acting as a device terminal. Another interface establishes a USB connection between the scanner device and the printer device with the scanner device acting as the host terminal and the printer device acting as the device terminal.
Abstract:
An input library and input attribute corresponding to input processing for image data from each of a plurality of types of image input devices are stored in a ROM. The image input device connected to an image processing apparatus is designated with a keyboard. The input library and input attribute corresponding to the designated image input device are acquired from the ROM. Input processing for image data from the image input device is executed on the basis of the input library and input attribute.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus which is equipped with card slots can cope with plural kinds of memory cards acting as media, and a recording apparatus does not occur a malfunction in its card reader due to a lack of a current to be supplied to the medium even when the plural media are respectively inserted in the card reader. To do so, when the media are initially inserted in the plural card slots, the slot in which the medium is first inserted is set to be available, and the remaining slots are set to be unavailable. Besides, power is not supplied to the slots which have been set to be unavailable.
Abstract:
A multifunctional integrated multimedia viewer system is proposed, which is characterized by the integration of an assortment of media processing functions, including a digital photo browsing function, an audio playback function, a video playback function, a video/audio recording function, an earth location identifying function, and a TV display function, all in one single device unit, so that the user can enjoy these media processing functions all from one single device unit without having to purchase a number of devices. Moreover, the proposed multimedia viewer system also provides an assortment of interfaces, including a wireless interface, an AV I/O interface, a USB interface, and an external storage interface, which allow the user to further expand the media processing functionality.
Abstract:
In a captured image outputting system, an image shot by an image capturing device is, upon shooting the image thereby, instantaneously transmitted to a display control device of a display system via wireless communication. The display system instantaneously projects the received image on a projection screen. The display system is comprised of a display device and a display control device. A liquid crystal projector may serve as the display device whereas an optional device, for use in wireless communication, connected to image input terminals of the liquid crystal projector may serve as the display control device. A digital still camera may serve as the image capturing device capable of carrying out wireless communication.
Abstract:
There is disclosed an album type image display device. The image display device reads out album data, including image data and album manager data for arranging images in a style of an album, from a memory card and displays an electronic album page by page on the basis of the album data. When a second set of electronic images are read out from a second memory card while successive two pages of the electronic album are displayed, additional pages having the second set of electronic images pasted thereon are interposed between the displayed two pages. Upon pressing an automatic play button, the image display device starts displaying respective pages of the electronic album turn by turn in a predetermined sequence. A respective page is displayed for a time that is determined based on a data volume of that page.
Abstract:
A printing system and printing method and a recording medium are capable of conducting the printing efficiently. Regarding the first printing means for printing images per one print in the first size and discharging these images, and the second printing means for printing images per multiple copies in the first size and discharging these images; the number of prints to be allocated to the first and the second printing means is determined so that the printing is finished in a minimum amount of time corresponding to the total number of prints of the first size to be printed. And based on the determination result, the first and the second printing means is controlled.
Abstract:
A communication controlling apparatus, which is connected to a telephone line and a serial bus, comprises a mapping table, which brings a fixed address, which a terminal device possesses, into correspondence with a node ID assigned to a terminal device connected to the current serial bus. Then, the node ID of the terminal device, serving as a recipient of data received from the telephone line, is obtained from the mapping table, and the received data from the line is transmitted to the terminal device via the serial bus using the obtained node ID.
Abstract:
Since cable external equipment has the advantage over radio external equipment, data is transferred through a cable when active cable external equipment exists, and data is automatically transferred to radio external equipment when active cable external equipment does not exist.
Abstract:
A wireless communication module with a portable digital camera is provided. The present wireless communication module comprises a wireless adapter for communicating with a wireless communication network, a digital camera for capturing image information, a bus hub for providing ports to the wireless adapter and the digital camera, respectively and a computer host provided with a bus host controller. When the bus hub is pluggable to connect with the computer host, the bus host controller detects the wireless adapter and the digital camera both of which serving as the peripherals of the bus hub, and then loading a corresponding wireless adapter bus driver and digital camera bus driver in an operating system of the computer host. Thereby, the computer host is able to communicate with the wireless communication network via the wireless adapter.
