Abstract: According to an aspect, an illumination device configured to be arranged opposing an image display surface of a reflective display device, includes: a translucent substrate; a plurality of light emitting elements that is provided to the translucent substrate; an anode electrode that is electrically coupled to the light emitting elements; and a cathode electrode that is electrically coupled to the light emitting elements. The anode electrode includes: a plurality of first partial anode electrodes having recessed structures in which the light emitting elements are arranged; and a second partial anode electrode that has a width less than widths of the first partial anode electrodes and couples the first partial anode electrodes.

Abstract: A display device includes a substrate, a plurality of pixels, a plurality of inorganic light-emitting elements, and a first light-shielding portion. The pixels are arrayed on the substrate. The inorganic light-emitting elements are provided corresponding to the respective pixels and each have a first side surface and a second side surface opposite to the first side surface. The first light-shielding portion is electrically coupled to the cathode of the corresponding inorganic light-emitting element and prevents output of light traveling in a direction intersecting the first side surface of the inorganic light-emitting element.

Abstract: A display device including a substrate, a plurality of pixels, a plurality of inorganic light-emitting elements, a flattening film, and an inorganic film. The pixels are arrayed on the substrate and display different colors. The inorganic light-emitting elements are provided to the respective pixels. The flattening film surrounds at least a side surface of the inorganic light-emitting element. The inorganic film covers the flattening film and the inorganic light-emitting element. The upper surface of the inorganic light-emitting element is exposed from the flattening film and is in contact with the inorganic film. Alternatively, the flattening film is provided covering the upper surface of the inorganic light-emitting element.

Abstract: A first electrode 30 for the touch panel is formed on an outer side of a counter substrate 200, and the protection film 210 is formed over the first electrode 30 to cover it. A defect 211 in the protection film 210 is filled in with another protection film 210 by inkjet coating. The surface of the protection film 210 is rubbed to a rough surface finish. The polarization plate 220 is attached to the rough surface of the protection film 210 via an adhesive material 221. Abstract: Disclosed is a method for inspecting a light-emitting element, the method including: forming a buffer layer over an amorphous substrate; forming, over the buffer layer, an n-type cladding layer, an emission layer, and a p-type cladding layer each including an inorganic semiconductor to form a plurality of semiconductor layers arranged in a matrix form having a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns; forming an anode and a cathode over each of the plurality of semiconductor layers to form a plurality of light-emitting elements; and acquiring at least one of a photoluminescence property or an electroluminescence property of the plurality of light-emitting elements using a first detector and a second detector. The buffer layer has a function to promote crystallization of the semiconductor layers. The photoluminescence property is acquired before forming the anode and the cathode. The electroluminescence property is acquired after forming the anode and the cathode.
