    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulating base and at least one row of conducting terminals. Each row of conducting terminals includes a body portion, a connecting arm located at two ends of the body portion, and a connecting portion. The insulating base includes a holding portion. The connecting arm is held on the holding portion. Because the connecting arm of the conducting terminal of the electrical connector is held on the holding portion of the insulating base, the coplanarity of the connecting portion of the conducting terminal can be assumed by keep the roughness of the holding portion of the insulating base. It prevents that the whole conducting arm of the conducting terminal is pasted on the insulating base to decrease the coplanarity of the connecting portion.

    Abstract: A card edge connector comprises an insulator body and a pair of metal components. A central slot is provided along the longitudinal direction of the insulator body. The pair of metal components is disposed at distal ends of two opposite sides of the insulator body. Each metal component includes a main body member fixed on the insulator body and a fixing member soldered to a printed circuit board. At least one soldering point is protrudingly provided on the fixing member. The proposed card edge connector can effectively save space, and has a simple structure. Moreover, it can be conveniently manufactured to enhance production efficiency, can be easily installed or dismantled, and can be firmly connected to a printed circuit board.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an electrical connector for electrically connecting a circuit board. The electrical connector includes an insulative housing which has terminal-receiving holes, conductive terminals accommodated in the terminal-receiving holes, and a solder partially projected from a bottom of the insulative housing. Furthermore, each conductive terminal has conductive portion, and the solder is located under the conductive portion. When the electrical connector is soldered to the circuit board, the solder is melted, the conductive terminals and the insulative housing move downward, and part of the conductive portion can be inserted into the solder to form an electrical connection between the circuit board and the conductive terminals. Comparing with the prior art, the electrical connector of the invention can position the solder to contact with the conductive terminals, increase the co-planarity of the solder, and further raising the quality of the electrical connection.
