Abstract:
Filter cartridge arrangements, features, and methods of construction are described. Also described are filter assemblies having the filter cartridge installed therein as a removable service component. The filter cartridge generally comprises a media pack having an end with an end piece positioned thereon. The end piece includes an end cap section and a seal support. A seal member is secured in the end cap. Methods of assembly and use are described.

Also described are filter assemblies having the filter cartridge installed therein as a removable service component. The filter cartridge generally comprises a media pack having an end with an end piece positioned thereon. The end piece includes an end cap section and a seal support, defining a seal recess. A seal member is secured within the seal recess. Methods of assembly and use are described.
Abstract:
A receiver dryer includes a first body and a second body, one end of the second body away from the first body defining first and second connecting ports. The receiver dryer includes a filter cartridge including a first mating portion, a second mating portion, and a filter part at a middle portion; the first mating portion fits with an inner wall of the second body, one space allowing refrigerant to flow is formed between the filter part and the inner wall of the second body, the second mating portion is connected to the second connecting port, the space between the filter part and the inner wall of the second body communicates with the first connecting port, an inside of the filter part communicates with the second connecting port via the second mating portion, and refrigerant is filtered at least once when flowing between the first and second connecting ports.
Abstract:
A cartridge top load filter design and filter element useable with the filter are described that allows fluid to be drained from the filter housing, from the exterior of the housing and without first removing the filter element or the housing cover. The draining feature can be manually activated by a knob that is accessible from the exterior of the filter housing adjacent to the removable cover. The draining feature does not require any tools to activate, and provides a “clean service” option of draining fluid before opening the filter housing.
Abstract:
A filter element that is provided with automatic air bleeding features to efficiently bleed air from a fuel filter module containing the filter element. The filter element has an upper end cap with one or two air vents. One of the vents provides a bypass for air through wet filter media through which air from the fuel supply may not be able to pass through easily. The inner air vent is located on the inside of a circle formed by attachment clips that attach the respective filter element to a removable cover. The inner air vent allows for air inside the filter module to be easily purged out via a drain hole on the fuel filter module, while providing resistance to fuel. The drain hole is provided on the filter module which is internally connected to the fuel outlet and therefore to the fuel tank.
Abstract:
A filter element is provided. The filter element is removably engaged with a filter head having an inlet and an outlet. The filter element includes an outer housing, a filter cartridge, and a baseplate. The filter element further includes a plurality of seals adapted to seal between the baseplate and the filter head, and between the baseplate and the filter cartridge.
Abstract:
A filter element comprises a filter media for filtering a fluid, an endcap positioned at an axial end of the filter media, and a seal member. The endcap comprises a main wall that defines a central aperture. The seal member is positioned within the central aperture of the endcap and is adhered to the endcap.
Abstract:
A housing assembly, portable filter system using the housing assembly and methods of mounting a filter element in a housing assembly are provided. The housing assembly is usable with filter elements of different types. The housing assembly includes a housing body having an open end and being attached to a filter head. The filter head includes a first housing sealing interface configured to sealingly mate with a filter element of the first type and a second housing sealing interface configured to sealingly mate with a filter element of the second type. A cover member removably attaches to the housing body and includes a third housing sealing interface configured to sealingly mate the filter element of the second.
Abstract:
A filtration system with a rotating core driving thimble opening and closing water passage, including: a casing, a filter and a connector, wherein the filter and the connector are connected and fixed in the casing; the filter includes a filter element body and a carbon rod; the connector includes a connector core, a water intake thimble, a water outtake thimble; the connector core is provided with a water inlet boss on which a first arc groove is provided, and a water outlet boss on which a second arc groove is provided; the water intake thimble and the water outtake thimble are lifted and falls through the rotation of the connector core, so that a water intake passage and a water outtake passage are opened and closed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for forming a filter medium, which is suitable for filtering fluids, for a filter element, said method having at least the following steps: —applying at least one self-contained sealant (16, 28) onto a fluid-permeable media web (14) in a specifiable direction (26), —producing a solid composite at least between parts of the sealant (16, 28) and the media web (14), —pleating the composite, thereby forming individual filter folds, —producing a hollow body such that in order to —obtain at least one seal region on the media web (14), the respective sealant (16, 28) is arranged on the inner face of the hollow body, a seal is produced for each filter fold, and an end-face seal of the media web (14) is produced. An application medium is applied as the sealant (16, 28) onto the media web (14) in a strip-shaped manner along at least one longitudinal edge (51) of the media web (14), said sealant forming the respective seal region when cured.
