Abstract:
An image forming device configured as follows. A user is allowed to select desired print data files to be printed from among print data files stored in an external storage. A file list generating unit generates a list of the desired print data files selected by the user. The list includes an order of the desired print data files. A page arrangement unit arranges each page of the desired print data files on each recording sheet based on the list of the desired print data, a print mode and a total number of pages of the desired print data files. Blank pages to be added to complete the arrangement of pages of the print data files with respect to the recording sheets are generated. Page data is retrieved based on the arrangement of pages and is converted to image data, which is printed by an image data printing unit.

Abstract:
A structure of an apparatus for sharing video input/output modules among handheld devices is provided, including a sharing slot, with a top golden finger part and a bus cable to form a first signal path from the video input module of a handheld device, and a bottom golden finger part and a bus cable and a connector to from a second signal path to a video input processor of the handheld device. The present invention may further include a bypass element for shorting the two signal paths by connecting the top golden finger part and the bottom golden finger part of the sharing slot. With the present invention, a second handheld device having extending signal paths can be inserted into the sharing slot of the first handheld to use the video input/output module of the first handheld device to accomplish the sharing of video input/output modules among handheld devices.
Abstract:
An information storage medium includes a recording unit to record externally input data, a first display unit, and a second display unit. Control is done to display information about the data recorded in the recording unit on the first display unit, and attribute information of the information storage medium on the second display unit.
Abstract:
An electronic camera system includes a programmable transmission capability for selectively transmitting electronic image data to a plurality of remote base units. In one embodiment, a camera module is detachably coupled to a portable computer including a display screen and a data entry device. The electronic image data generated by the camera module is supplied to the portable computer for display on the display screen. The data entry device is used by an operator to select which of the plurality of base units are to receive the digital image data. The digital image data is supplied by the portable computer to a radio-frequency transmitter module for transmission to the selected base units. The radio-frequency transmitter module is formed either integral with the portable computer or, like the camera module, is detachably coupled to the portable computer. In a further embodiment, a combined telephone/camera unit is provided that includes a camera module for generating electronic image data representative of a scene to be imaged, a memory unit for storing the electronic image data generated by the camera module, a display screen for displaying the electronic image data stored in the memory unit, a mechanism for selecting which of the plurality of base units is to receive the digital image data, and a cellular transceiver for transmitting the digital image data to the base units selected by the selection mechanism.
Abstract:
Free setting of the angle or direction of a camera is available while the camera is being inserted into a cradle. A cradle for a digital camera is provided, which is capable of confirming a display screen of the camera, changing the recording medium or battery, or mounting or demounting a communication cable or the like while the camera is being mounted on the cradle without deteriorating the camera holding. The cradle has a structure such that a tripod screw hole is formed on the bottom surface of the cradle, thereby capable of fixing the cradle to a tripod while the digital camera is being inserted into the cradle. By making the height of rubber pads equal or higher than that of a tripod base, the cradle can be stably placed on a desk or the like. The cradle also has a structure that, among the walls holding the camera, a part of the walls that cover a liquid-crystal monitor of the camera, a media slot for a memory card, a terminal part including a power supply terminal or USB terminal is constituted by movable walls. The movable walls can be used as a simple tripod by employing a free stop structure or click stop structure.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a portable electronic storage device able to receive, store, and transmit or otherwise convey digital data and images from one electronic device to another. The storage device may generally include a housing containing one or more electronic components, and a plurality of connectors extending from the housing, the connectors being engageable with secondary electronic devices for the transfer of data and/or images. The electronic storage device may further include a software program operable via the secondary electronic devices for the manipulation of data and/or images.
Abstract:
A camera module with a hinge mechanism is installed on an electronic device. The camera module housing has two hollow cylinder-shaped shafts at two opposite ends. Two hollow cylinder-shaped shafts are pivotally connected with the electronic device. A camera is disposed in the housing. A hinge portion is configured inside at least one of the two hollow cylinder-shaped shafts. Two ends of the hinge portion are first and second brackets, which are respectively secured to ground terminals of the camera module and the electronic device. A first cam is secured to the first bracket. A connection shaft, of which one end is secured to the second bracket, goes through a spring, through holes of a second cam, the first cam and the first bracket. When the housing rotates, interactions among the spring, the first cam and the second cam provide regional positioning and regional automatic rotation functionalities.
Abstract:
An imaging camera head for a visual presenter including a base, a support column standing on the base and having a distal end and an imaging camera having an operation section is disclosed. The imaging camera head is mounted on the distal end of the support column and includes a casing lengthwise divided into a plurality of parts and having one end on which the imaging camera is mounted and the other end on which the operation section of the imaging camera is mounted and a coupling shaft extending lengthwise with respect to the casing and coupling the parts to each other for relative rotation.
Abstract:
An optical text scanning device compatible with a small handheld computer such as a personal digital assistant (PDA). The scanning device allows for a clear view of the text that is scanned simultaneous to the scanning process so that the operator can continuously align the device to the text. The scanned images of the text are converted in real-time to standard byte or word characters for subsequent display on the computer's viewing screen. The operator can quickly verify the accuracy of the conversion by comparing the displayed character with the actual character of text on the surface that is being scanned. Scanned text characters are stored in standard digital text files for ease of manipulation.
