Abstract: A color imaging system and method, the method comprising, for a plurality of predetermined wavelength bands of illumination, calculating weight coefficients representing the contribution of each of the wavelength bands to a specific color space, individually controlling illumination intervals of each of a plurality of illumination sources, wherein each of the illumination sources is configured to provide illumination via a waveguide in a different predetermined narrow band of wavelengths, controlling an image sensor to capture a set of monochromatic image frames synchronously with the illumination intervals, receiving a set of the captured monochromatic image frames, and generating color image data by calculating a combination of the set of image frames, each weighted by the corresponding coefficient.

The method further includes calculating, using the processor, a sparkle color distribution, and generating, using the processor, a coating formulation that is the same or substantially similar in appearance to the target coating.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed towards systems, methods and computer program products for correcting inter-instrumentation variation among color measurement devices. In one particular implementation, a method for correcting inter-instrument variation among color measurement devices includes obtaining a set of color measurements of an item under analysis. The described approach also includes accessing a conversion model, wherein the conversion module has been generated using one or more ANN back propagated over a collection of data points, where the data points correspond to measurements of a color standard using devices from a control device batch and a test device batch. Using the conversion module, a processor is configured to transform the set of color measurements into a calibrated color measurement set. The calibrated color measurement set is then output to at least one display, memory or remote computing device.

Abstract: Color calibration for digital pathology is provided. A standard glass slide is prepared with a specimen having zero or more stains. The specimen is scanned a first time using a hyperspectral imaging system to produce a first digital image having XYZ color values. The specimen is scanned a second time using a digital pathology imaging system to produce a second digital image having RGB color values. The first and second digital images are then registered against each other to align the digital image data. Individual pixels of the first and second images may be combined in the registration process so that the first and second digital images have substantially similar pixel sizes. A lookup table is generated to associate XYZ color values to RGB color values. Once the lookup table has been generated, it can be used to present RGB color on a display using the corresponding XYZ color.

Due to this, the light source device 100 can emit light having the same color even in the face of changes along with the elapse of time and variations in the specifications of the optical parts.

Abstract: Provided are systems, methods, and media for real-time alteration of underwater images. An example method includes receiving an image that is captured by a wearable electronic device of a user while submerged in water, in which the wearable electronic device of the user includes one or more display screens and one or more sensors, and in which the one or more sensors include one or more cameras that are configured to capture the image. The method includes adjusting the image based, at least in part, on one or more environmental factors of the water, in which the adjusting of the image includes adjusting colors of the image to compensate for changes in color while submerged in the water. The method includes causing the wearable electronic device to display the adjusted image to the user while submerged in water via the one or more display screens.
